After the call was hung up, Lowell could not calm down for a long time. He did not know if it was because he was hiding something from Celeste which made him feel so guilty.
All in all, anyone would feel guilty when something like that happened to them. It made him feel as if he was the one who did something wrong.
Lowell was really guilty. He felt sorry for Gary, but even more so for Celeste.
He ended the call with apology and guilt, Lowell could not calm his heart down for a long time.
At that moment, he was standing outside the door of the ward. The two bodyguards were guarding the door, still observing Janice's movements closely.
At that moment, a doctor walked over.
"Mr. Jones." Lowell was the one who looked for that doctor, so he was more familiar with him. "I have carefully reviewed Janice's medical report following your order. She is indeed three months pregnant." "What about the DNA test report? Can it prove the baby's father's identity?" Lowell asked anxiously.
"We can, of course we can identify the child's father with our advanced technology," The doctor continued.
Lowell then heaved a sigh of relief.
If it could be proved, then they could check if the child in Janice's womb was really Gary's or not after Gary arrived there.
"Good, I have informed the other party. He is on his way, so, I might have to trouble you to conduct another test."
"Sure," the doctor said.
Lowell instructed the doctor on some other things before he returned to the ward.
At that moment, it was eleven o'clock in the morning in Boston.
Gary had arrived at the airport and rushed over. The first thing he did was to contact Lowell.
When he received Gary's call, Lowell sighed in relief. "Gary.
Have you arrived?"
"I just got off the plane, send me your address. I will go there right now."
"I'll send you the location immediately. Be fast,"
Lowell said.
"Okay."
After the call was ended, Gary immediately called Celeste. After the call was connected, Celeste's voice could be heard from the other end.
"Celeste?"
"Hi, have you arrived?" Celeste asked.
"I've just arrived." Gary's tone was a little low that no one could tell what he was feeling. "What are you doing?"
"I am reading in the room." Celeste's tone was calm too. No one knew whether she was happy or angry.
She hid all her emotions deeply in her heart.
She did not want Gary to know that she already knew what was going on with him, she wanted to wait for the results.
She wanted to see what he would do.
"Oh, so you didn't go out to play with them?" Gary smiled, his voice returning to show a little emotions.
"No," Celeste said, "They are all in pairs, I don't want to be a third wheel."
"That works too. You can stay in your room in the villa and read. I won't disturb you for the next two days. You can continue to read in peace," Gary said.
Lowell's expression was solemn, he looked at Gary and said, "Janice insists that the child is yours. She even did an amniocentesis and took your DNA sample to do a DNA test with it to prove that you are the child's father."
Gary frowned. His face was cold and emotionless. He snorted coldly and spoke, "Is Janice even worthy of being my child's mother?"
"What's going on?" Lowell's temper flared up when he heard this. He looked at Gary and questioned him in a deep voice, "How did you get entangled with Janice? Did anything happen between the two of you?"
Gary did not speak.
When Lowell saw Gary's attitude, his headache instantly got worse. "From the looks of it, did anything really happen between you two?"
"I don't know. I was drunk." Gary shook his head. "She said that I slept with her, but I am not sure."
Lowell was stunned. He glared at Gary as if he was exasperated. "Can you be a little bit more promising? How could you simply sleep with a woman just because you were drunk? What kind of a person is Janice? You've hurt Celeste's heart. Why do you have to continue hurting her? Did you think you still have plenty of opportunities to continue taking her for granted?"
"Didn't we break up back then?" Gary said gloomily.
"How could you be so rash just because you broke up? Even if you broke up, shouldn't you respect your body still?" Lowell asked him once more.
"Yes, of course." Gary was even more depressed, his eyes were filled with annoyance. "I was just too upset back then. I drank too much and when I woke up, I realized that Janice was beside me, and I wasn't wearing any clothes. How would I know that that would be the consequences? If I knew, I would not have drunk."
"It's too late to say anything now. It seems very likely that the child in Janice's womb is yours," Lowell said.
"Even if it is mine, I won't keep this child," Gary said in a cold manner.
"Are you going to get her to abort it?" Lowell asked.
"We need to prove it first before we abort it," Gary said in a deep voice. His eyes were filled with determination. "If it really is, we have to abort it."
Lowell looked at his determined attitude, he did not speak.
