After dealing with the case, Jensen looked at his watch. It was half- past four in the afternoon. He drove to Northern City University.
He was going to visit Alice Smith.
He found out that Alice was studying in Northern City University.
When he arrived at the University, he was so lucky that he happened to bump into Alice who was leaving to go pick up Little Gary.
He immediately stopped and got out of the car, walking in her direction.
From a distance, he could see that she was wearing a white sweater and a pair of black slim-fit pants. Her legs looked long and attractive in those well-tailored pants.
Jensen looked at her with mixed feelings. He felt different when he met her yesterday. He never thought that it was really her.
Six years ago, she was only seventeen years old, she was still so young.
And, he had...
Thinking of this, Jensen felt guilty.
He walked towards Alice nervously.
Jensen's heart was beating quickly as he approached Alice.
He felt more guilty now.
He took a deep breath and called out her name, "Alice!"
Alice was stunned. She looked up and squinted her eyes. It was a sunny day.
She saw a tall man looking at her. The man was so close to her.
He was staring at Alice with deep affection.
She took a step forward and took a closer look at the man.
"Oh, it's you!"
Jensen was nervous when he heard her voice. He said, "Yeah, it's me. Jensen."
Alice didn't expect to run into him. She asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
"I was just passing by and happened to see you. So, I got off the car, thought I'd come over to say hello!" Jensen said. He looked at her and smiled. He asked, "Where are you going? Let me drive you there."
Alice frowned and looked into Jensen's dark eyes. She asked, "Why do you want to give me a ride?"
She was always guarded against all men.
Also, this man has been staring at her strangely ever since he started the conversation with her.
And Alice didn't like that feeling.
Jensen's heart ached when he realized Alice had built a wall around herself. He remembered Grace told him that her sister was afraid of men because of what happened to her six years ago.
Thinking about this, he felt very uncomfortable.
"Your sister is my friend. So, I feel it's reasonable to give you a ride." He said sincerely, trying to show a trusting impression.
Alice frowned. After thinking for a while, she said, "Officer Charm, how's the injured person yesterday?"
Jensen was stunned as the sudden change of topic. He said, "Your sister has settled it for you."
Alice said, "I know. I'm asking you because I know my sister has settled it."
Jensen was a little surprised. He looked at Alice with confusion in his eyes.
Alice could tell that he did not understand what she was trying to say. She continued, "Well, my sister cares about my feelings. That's why she doesn't want to tell me the truth."
Upon hearing this, Jensen's heart ached again.
