True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2205

Sylvia's face turned red as she looked at Kendrix's handsome face. She had not expected him to say something like that.

From what she knew about him, he did not seem like someone to be so bold.

He had always been so calm and controlled that he somehow did not seem like a part of the world.

How could someone like that say such a thing? Sylvia wondered.

But she was sure that she had heard those words come out from his mouth.

She felt like she had learned something new about him.

She stood in the corridor in a daze, staring at him, forgetting to react and speak.

The bright lights made her skin seem translucent, almost as if she was an ethereal being.

Kendrix's gaze deepened, and he did not look away. In fact, he also forgot to react.

As they looked at each other, time seemed to stop for a moment.

Kendrix moved closer.

Only then did Sylvia come back to her senses. She stared at him blankly.

"What's wrong?" he blurted right before coming to his senses. However, his fingers were already caressing her cheeks. He said calmly, "Don't you want me to send you home?"

"Of course not." She blushed under his touch, and she did not dare to move.

She felt goosebumps all over her body and looked down, unable to stop the butterflies in her stomach.

"It's not that I don't want you to send me home. I simply think that Claudia will make fun of me for this." Sylvia's eyes were lowered, and her long lashes fluttered as she blinked. Her voice grew softer as if she was embarrassed. "I thought you didn't want her to know about us."

"Us?" he echoed, his voice slightly hoarse.

"Aren't we a couple?" She raised her head. Had he not acknowledged that they were in a relationship and that they were boyfriend and girlfriend? Sylvia wondered.

She gazed suspiciously at Kendrix, and he found it amusing.

After a brief silence, he smiled and replied, "Of course."

She breathed a sigh of relief. She had thought that he did not want to admit it, but it turned out she was wrong.

It seemed as if she was overthinking again

She lowered her head again, remaining silent.

He gently stroked her beautiful, delicate face.

It made her shiver, and her voice trembled a little as she said, "Don't!"

"Are you afraid of me?" His voice was a little low and hoarse, and his touch became hot.

Sylvia's chest tightened, and her long eyelashes trembled slightly. She wanted to shake her head, but she nodded instead.

Kendrix was somewhat shocked. "You're afraid of me?"

Only then did she realize she had nodded. Her face turned red, and she immediately shook her head.

"N-No," she hastened to explain, but she could not help stammering. It was the first time she had felt so nervous that she could barely speak.

Kendrix wanted to retract his hand. However, fearing that he had misunderstood her, Sylvia immediately reached out and held his hand.

He could feel that her palms were cold and clammy.

He was stunned at first, but then he laughed.

"It seems that I placed a lot of pressure on you." Kendrix sighed.

"Not at all," Sylvia replied. She did not know how to explain herself. All she wanted him to know was that things were not what he thought.

However, she was afraid he did not like her and that her efforts would be wasted.

Although he was amused at her nervousness and incoherence, his heart ached for her too.

His eyes deepened with a burning fire.

Taking a deep breath, he looked around, grabbed her hand, and pulled her after him.

Confused, she followed him as he gripped her hand tightly.

She did not know where they were going or what they were going to do. All she knew was that he was behaving rather strangely.

However, she still liked him a lot.
