Kendrix's gaze only darkened by the second. He gazed intensely at the girl in front of him, refusing to look away.
Sylvia mustered up her courage to stare into Kendrix's eyes. The two of them exchanged looks.
No one spoke at all, and the atmosphere was unusually quiet.
However, it was the long stare they had exchanged that sent a chill up Sylvia's spine. She was about to give in.
She could feel her soul being sucked into the abyss of Kendrix's gaze. Yet, he seemed unfazed, as if she was the only one being affected by the ripple of emotions.
In the end, she was no match for Kendrix at all.
Even if she used up all her courage to please him, she would still be defeated in the end.
She lowered her gaze and smiled faintly, asking, "Why aren't you saying anything"
"Well, it is because you're too beautiful. I don't want to spoil the atmosphere with my words," Kendrix's eyes were fixed on her delicate face as he said, "However, you are right. I will not be able to control myself even if we are only kissing."
Kendrix was still a hot-blooded young man. It was normal for him to have intuitive feelings for something.
He did not feel embarrassed or awkward. He only thought that it was a bit inappropriate for him to do so.
There were some emotions which he could not express in front of his little girlfriend, even if he was on the verge of losing control.
Yet, Kendrix knew that Sylvia would overthink things if he didn't say anything.
Left with no choice, he could only admit that he had lost control of his emotions. Now that he was exposed, he could only admit it coolly.
However, after Sylvia heard that, her face turned even redder.
"Yo- you... How could you say that?" She stammered.
She initially assumed that Kendrix would not say it so directly. She did not expect him to be so frank.
On the contrary, Sylvia felt that Kendrix's honesty made her feel slightly ashamed.
She was too embarrassed to even look at Kendrix.
She could only lie in his arms since she did not want him to see how red her face was.
Meanwhile, Kendrix just put his arms around her slender body and smirked, "Weren't you pretty bold? Why do you suddenly feel so embarrassed?" "I'm not," Sylvia retorted, "I don't know who you are talking about."
She felt a little annoyed when she heard that. What was she doing?
She knew she was embarrassed but she did not dare to admit it. Instead, she even wanted to tease him.
Sure enough, Kendrix could not help but chuckle.
His charming laughter echoed in her ears.
Sylvia's heart was beating wildly. She did not dare to move a muscle and did not look up at him. She just lay silently in his embrace, burying her face in his arms.
Kendrix knew that she was still just a young and naive girl. She was not as bold as he was, so he couldn't afford to tease her so much.
He cleared his throat and hugged her even more tightly. Then, he whispered in her ear, "Are you still going to make such jokes with me in the future?"
"No," Sylvia immediately shook her head like a rattle drum, "Never again."
"Well, that will surely be a pity," Kendrix sighed thoughtfully, seemingly feeling a sense of pity over the loss.
Sylvia's body stiffened. She looked up subconsciously, only to meet Kendrix's gaze as she asked, "What pity?"
Sylvia was indeed a young girl. Once there were questions left unanswered, it was clear that she'd stop at nothing to get an answer.
However, Kendrix did not avoid her eyes. He continued to stare into her eyes without blinking.
His eyes seemed like they could talk as the emotions surged within his gaze.
Sylvia stared into his eyes in a daze. She could see the reflection of her shy self in his pitch-black pupils.
All of a sudden, she was stunned.
She had never seen herself like that before. From the reflection in his eyes, she seemed shy and passionate.
Sylvia quickly pursed her lips tightly as she continued gazing into Kendrix's eyes. For a while, silence engulfed the room.
As Kendrix spoke, he wrapped his arms around her small, petite shoulders and nudged closer to her with his head lowered. He could not help but run his fingers across her long yet slender neck as he cupped her face. Then, he lowered his gaze and stared at her cherry-red lips.
Sylvia was slightly nervous and subconsciously grabbed Kendrix's sleeves. Her eyelashes were trembling a little and they formed two small silhouettes at the corners of her eyes.
Kendrix's strong aura engulfed Sylvia, his every breath invading her thoughts.
His lips moved from her forehead to the tip of her nose. His warm breath ravaged her entire face.
Sylvia felt that her heart was about to jump out of her chest.
Time seemed to have frozen for them.
Kendrix did not make the next move and just pressed his face against Sylvia's. It was as if he was awaiting her next move. Sylvia's cheeks were already as red as an apple, but he still refused to kiss her on the lips.
Sylvia tightened her grip around Kendrix's hand unconsciously.
She got closer to Kendrix and whispered to him in a tender and soft voice, "I may have been brave when I had a crush on you, but I would still care deeply about getting together with you. Even though I know that what I'm doing is wrong, I can't help myself. I'm just scared that you won't like me.
A faint smile crept over Kendrix's eyes. He kissed her lips then looked up at her. Then, he caressed her face lovingly.
Sylvia pursed her lips, blinking her large eyes as she stared at him, waiting for him to answer her.
Kendrix lifted her chin gently and pressed his lips against hers. He no longer went slow and shallow but he tried to control himself from ravaging her. After all, Sylvia was still a little girl compared to him.
Sylvia tightened her grip. Her breathing was messy and she couldn't control herself nor her emotions. She could feel her defenses crumbling and her body going limp at his every touch.
Kendrix didn't let his feelings get the better of him.
Suddenly, a knock could be heard on the door.
Kendrix took a deep breath. He let go of Sylvia and noticed her reddened lips from the passionate kiss they shared a while ago. He pecked at her lips once more and said, "Stay here. I'll go see who it is."
"But-!" Sylvia wanted to say that she was slightly scared. However, she soon trailed off and fell silent.
"Don't be scared. I won't let anyone come in," Kendrix understood her worries easily and kissed her reassuringly before going out to answer the door.
