True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2252

"I can't believe you're actually like this." Sylvia could not help muttering in surprise. She seemed to be sighing with emotion.

"What do you mean?" Kendrix asked with a smile, "Am I different from the Kendrix that you first fell in love with?"

"Yes." Sylvia did not expect that Kendrix would joke with her like that at all. Furthermore, the Kendrix then was different than the one she met just few days ago too.

To be honest, Sylvia was a little flattered.

That was because she felt that Kendrix was starting to act naturally in front of her, and he was obviously more relaxed then. It was completely different from they first met. She thought he was just a pretty face.

That was a different Kendrix.

That perhaps was the other side of Kendrix.

As they started to build a connection between them, Kendrix gradually relaxed in front of Sylvia. He was showing his other side, which not many people get to see.

Sylvia looked at him and said, "Mr. Trevino, how long are you planning on standing here for?"

In fact, she wanted to sit down on the sofa.

If Sylvia stood up, she would have to lift her head in order to make eye contact with him. Although she did not mind it, Kendrix gave her an innate sense of oppression. In addition, he was very handsome. The longer she stared at him, she was worried that she would not be able to control herself and would want to tiptoe to kiss him.

If that happened, she would be really embarrassed.

Sylvia could only try her best to calm herself down in front of the pretty guy, lest she embarrassed herself.

When Kendrix heard Sylvia's words, he suddenly realized that they had been standing there all along, and he had held her hand for a long time.

Kendrix inadvertently looked up at the clock on the wall and realized that he had already been holding her hand for a good five minutes. All he did in that five minutes was just standing there as he held her. He felt that he had gone too far.

When Kendrix finally came to his senses, he became serious and immediately loosened his grip on Syvlia's wrist.

"Come on, let's go and sit on the sofa."

"All right." Sylvia immediately nodded. She then turned around and made her way to the sofa. She found a comfortable spot and sat cross-legged.

Kendrix smiled faintly as he walked towards the sofa too, and took a seat next to Sylvia.

Sylvia secretly glanced at the man sitting beside her. At that moment, Kendrix was leaned back in the sofa, relaxed, and even crossed his legs.

His legs were very long and straight, and he wore his suit pants. As he crossed his legs, it was particularly pleasing to the eye.

Sylvia felt a burning sensation on her ears just by looking at him.

Feeling a little flustered, she quickly turned her face away, feeling shy to continue to look at him.

"It's almost time for school," Kendrix said.

Sylvia did not say anything. Her mind was occupied and did not hear what he said at all.

"How's your preparation going?" Kendrix continued.

"Huh?" Sylvia was lost in thought. She was confused when she heard his question.

Kendrix did not know whether to laugh or cry. "What's going on in your head? You can't seem to understand any of my questions today." "The problem is, you seem to be asking a lot of odd questions today." She argued in an innocent voice.

"Really?" Kendrix asked with a smile, "Or, did you just not listen to my question? Well, I'll repeat it again then. School's about to start, how's your preparation going?"

"Oh..." Sylvia immediately said, "There's nothing much to prepare. I can go back anytime."

"What about your homework? Have you finished them yet?"

"Yes, all done."

"Not bad," Kendrix said, "You performed well during this holiday. I should give you a reward."

"A reward?" Sylvia felt even more flattered. "Will I be getting a reward?"

Kendrix stared at her lips with, his gaze intent.

Sylvia could not help feeling her breathing quicken, and couldn't speak a word. She quickly turned away. She was so flustered that she nearly bit her tongue.

Kendrix could not help but to fix his eyes on Sylvia, his gaze getting even deeper. Then, he asked, "What kind of reward do you want?"

"There's no need." Sylvia immediately shook her head. She was already happy that Kendrix was paying attention to her. She was not a greedy person.
