True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 283

In the end, Jensen stepped out of Grace's house and walked to the gate. As expected, he spotted Heinz's car right next to the gate.

He walked over ferociously and kicked Heinz's car.

The door was opened from the inside.

Jensen hopped into the passenger seat. He glared at Heinz and said, "You're already here. Whatever you want to do, just go ahead. Why do you need my help?"

"Please pass this to Grace." Heinz handed a chegue to Jensen.

Jensen had a quick look at it and noted that the amount was two million.

"That's a lot," Jensen exclaimed.

"Give it to Grace," Heinz said in a deep voice.

"Pfft!" Jensen sneered disdainfully and said, "It's indeed a lot of money. It would be tempting for ordinary people. But for Grace, your money is nothing."

"Give it to her," Heinz said again, "It's her compensation."

"I won't." Jensen tossed the cheque back at him and said coldly, "You think this bit of money can compensate her? Who do you think you are? Nobody cares about your money."

Heinz was silent as if he was not in the mood to

quarrel.

His wounded face was expressionless.

Jensen frowned and said, "Heinz, we are buddies who grew up together. I know you feel bad and you're devastated, but if you really wish to compensate Grace, you need do it yourself instead of asking me to do it on behalf of you."

"Just help me once," Heinz looked at him pleadingly.

Jensen was dumbfounded.

Heinz never liked asking for help, and he almost never did it.

But this time, the look in his eyes surprised him.

Jensen stared at him for a while, then said, "Okay, I'll help you this time. As for whether Grace accepts it or not, I can't guarantee it."

"Okay," Heinz nodded and said. "Bring it to her."

"Okay," Jensen replied.

He took the cheque and got off immediately.

Heinz opened his mouth but no words came out.

After Jensen got out of the car, he stood at the side of the car, turned to look at him and said, "Would you like to go in with me?"

"No!" He shook his head firmly.

Jensen's expression darkened. He frowned and said, "Heinz, you will really regret it. Believe me, you should go in with me and apologize to Grace. Everything will be better. Don't come to me when you finally regret it."

Heinz's eyes were full of mixed emotions, but he did not say a word.

Jensen was so angry that he slammed the door.

A few seconds later, Heinz turned the car around and drove away.

Watching his car leaving, Jensen called out, "Such an idiot! You'll regret it sooner or later."

When he returned to the house, Alice looked at him coldly and said, "Who let you out?"

"He threatened me," Jensen replied.

"What could he use to threaten you?" Alice asked.

"His house,” Jensen said. "The house that I live in now belongs to him."

Alice said, "You don't own a house?"

Jensen shook his head and answered honestly, "Yeah. I don't."

Unexpectedly, Alice laughed and said, "So you're broke too."

"Yeah, I'm not wealthy," Jensen said honestly.

Alice didn't look down on him. She said, "Don't buy things for us anymore. You don't have to keep up appearances."

Jensen couldn't hide his surprise and said, "You are fine with it?"

"Why would I mind it?" Alice asked.

"I'm not loaded," he said.

"So am I," Alice said. "That's not a big deal."
