"Okay, tell me," said Grace. When she heard his words, she immediately looked at him excitedly. It seemed that she had completely forgotten about their old grudges.
He was a good person. Therefore, she decided not to be angry with him anymore.
Anyway, no one was perfect. He was much more pleasing to the eye now.
No wonder people said that they should do good deeds. Those who had done good deeds would be very happy.
Heinz, who had done good deeds, was humble and low profile.
She liked Heinz even more.
When he saw Grace's reaction, he pressed his lips together again and said, "Let's talk about it after we get back. I'm driving, I would lose focus if we talk about it now."
"Okay,” she replied, though she was very curious about what he wanted to say.
But she didn't want to bother him since he was driving.
Soon, they arrived at the Emerald Apartment. After getting off the car, Heinz went to fetch the medicine.
They then went upstairs together.
The moment they arrived home and put down the medicine, Grace could smell the hospital disinfectant scent on her body. She felt unwell and was also having her period, therefore, she said to Heinz, "I'm going to take a shower and change my clothes."
Heinz paused for a moment and looked relieved. He said, "Okay, you can go and take a shower."
Grace walked into the house and when she reached the door, she remembered the topic on the road just now and said, "Later, we will talk about the topic that you didn't get to finish sharing earlier."
Heinz was astonished and twitched his lips. Then, he nodded and agreed, "Okay."
More than 20 minutes later, Grace came out with wet hair. She had changed into clean clothes and saw Heinz smoking.
His tall body was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. Light shone in from outside the window, extending the shadow of his tall figure. However, the grey smoke that shrouded his body seemed to be soaked in loneliness and desolation.
Grace was a little startled and wondered, "What's wrong with him?"
"Heinz?" Grace glanced at him and walked over.
He had almost finished smoking the cigarette in his hand. When he saw Grace, he immediately put it out and moved to throw it in the ashtray.
"Sorry, I smoked a cigarette," said Heinz.
Grace stared at him blankly with a touch of concern in her eyes. She asked, "Are you worried about something?"
"No," Heinz replied while shaking his head. He looked at Grace with a deep gaze but he didn't seem to be having one of his mood swings.
"Are you hungry?" Grace asked while looking at her watch. It was after one o'clock, and they hadn't eaten lunch yet.
"A little hungry," he answered.
"I'm hungry too, especially after taking a shower. Let me cook some noodles for us. It's already so late, it's more convenient to cook noodles," Grace said.
"Okay," Heinz replied with a single word, but his gaze seemed to reflect his many unspoken words.
Grace entered the kitchen with a trace of suspicion in her heart. When the noodles were ready, she took them out and saw Heinz smoking again.
The white smoke enveloped his tall figure, making him look even more handsome and magnificent. Nevertheless, he still seemed to be in despair.
"Stop smoking." Grace couldn't resist saying, "It's better for your health if you smoke less."
He nodded and hummed in agreement. It was rare for him to be so cooperative. He put out the cigarette and opened the window for ventilation.
Heinz went to wash his hands and sat down after that.
Grace passed the utensils to him.
He took the utensils in his hands.
"By the way, you said you have something to tell me earlier," she said after remembering it. "Why haven't you told me? Why are you hesitating to tell me?
Does it trouble you?"
Heinz was stunned again. He quickly looked at Grace and said, "Actually, it's nothing innportant. I just thought of something."
"What is it?" Grace asked again.
"Grace, will you believe me?" Heinz looked into her eyes and asked.
