True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 419

Heinz left swiftly.

He left within ten minutes of arriving at the house.

Alice closed the door. When she turned over, she found Jensen was staring at her.

His eyes were bottomless.

Alice took a deep breath and felt a little embarrassed. "I'm sorry. I should have told you before I called Heinz. I called him because I wanted him to arrange someone to protect my sister and Little Gary. I don't want them to get hurt.¹'

"It's okay," Jensen shook his head and continued, "It's good that you're thoughtful and I don't blame you. I blame myself for not protecting you."

Alice could hear the disappointment in Jensen's voice.

Alice walked over to him with her head hung low. She lowered her eyes and whispered, "You seem very disappointed."

Jensen reached out to hold her hands. He sighed, "I'm not disappointed in you. I'm disappointed in myself."

It frustrated him that he could not even protect his own woman.

"Isn't it the same?" Alice muttered.

Jensen inhaled and caught a whiff of the food. Suddenly, he recalled that Alice had not yet eaten because he had been on the phone for a long time.

"You haven't eaten, right?"

"Have you had your dinner?" Alice asked.

"Nope!" He took her to the dining table and explained, "I bought some food and realized that you weren't at home. I went out to look for you immediately after."

"Then let's eat together." Alice raised her head and added, "Teach me how tot fight after we eat."

Jensen nodded after noticing her anxious looks. He promised, "Okay, I'll teach you later."

"Okay, thank you." Alice was thrilled. "Let's dig in. I've heated up the food and they should be delicious."

She withdrew her hand from his and handed him a set of cutlery.

Jensen stared at her and could not help sigh in his heart again. She was content and brave and she should be doted on and loved. Otherwise, how could he make it up to this girl?

Jensen's heart was preoccupied by Alice. He had to keep her by his side for the rest of his life. He would only be at ease when she was safe around him.

However, could he really do it?

Shortly after, Heinz returned to Emerald Apartment. As soon as he entered the apartment, he spotted Grace telling stories in the children's room. Her tone fluctuated with the flow of the story and it was music to his ears.

As soon as Heinz came back, Grace glanced at him and said to the children, "I'll continue later. Why don't you two play on your own for now?."

Gary and Ernest greeted Heinz and entered their room together.

Grace walked up to Heinz and stared at him. She asked, "How was it? Is Alice all right?"

"What could possibly happen to her?" Heinz raised his eyebrow and he looked very handsome.

Grace was bewitched. She admitted that she was obsessed with his good looks. She liked Heinz's handsome face and charming aura.

"After you left, I found it strange. Alice never liked you but it's very suspicious that she suddenly looked for you." After careful consideration, Grace had a nagging feeling. She asked, "Is she in trouble?"
