True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 475

At the dinner table.

Old Master Carter and the two little fellows had already taken their seats. The table was full of dishes and all the food looked very sumptuous.

William didn't pick up his spoon, and neither did the little ones.

Everyone was waiting for Grace and Heinz.

The butler stepped forward and asked in a low voice, "Are you going to drink today, Chief?"

"Of course," Old Master Carter said. "This is a great day, of course we have to drink. Are there any yogurt drinks or some fruit juice? Please give the children some."

"Yes, I've prepared it. We have freshly pressed kiwi juice," the butler said.

"Please give it to them," said Old Master Carter.

"Yes, Sir!" The butler quickly served the drinks.

The butler set the wine and juice on the table.

It was only then that Heinz arrived with Grace.

"I'm sorry," Grace apologized. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Carter."

"It's fine," Old Master Carter didn't seem to mind at all. "Hurry and sit down. Let's have dinner."

"Yes!" Grace said.

Heinz pulled out a chair for Grace.

Then, all of them were seated at the table.

Old Master Carter looked at Grace and asked, "Grace, do you drink?"

Grace was startled by his question. She answered, saying, "I do drink a little, but I'm on medication now so I can't drink."

"Medication?" Old Master Carter was taken aback. He asked, "What's wrong?"

Grace felt really embarrassed to tell Old Master Carter the details.

However, in her hesitation, Heinz had already spoken up for her, "Grandpa, Grace's body has not recovered from bearing Little Gary. She is in the process of recuperating and recovering, so that we can give Ernest and Little Gary another sibling."

Old Master Carter was taken aback. He asked, "When are you planning to hold the wedding?"

Heinz said, "That depends on Grace. I just hope we can do it earlier."

Grace was stunned.

Old Master Carter's brow furrowed as he turned to look at Grace. "Grace, what other concerns do you have?"

Grace really didn't expect that he would mention the wedding at that moment.

She hadn't thought that far yet.

Seeing that Grace was silent, Old Master Carter's brow furrowed even more tightly.

Heinz also looked at Grace, with a touch of worry in his eyes. "Has Grace never thought of marrying me?"

He wondered.

Was hethat terrible?

The two little fellows raised their eyes and looked at Grace; they were looking forward to Grace's answer.

Since everyone was looking at her, she said, "Mr. Carter, Heinz and I haven't known each other for long. Although we have a child, I think we need to get to know each other better. The wedding is not important. All I'm hoping for is a happy future together."

Old Master Carter froze for a second. He looked at Heinz with disdain and said, "Well, it's the first time someone dislikes my grandson so much."

Grace felt a little awkward.

It was not that she disliked him; she was just a very rational person.

Marriage was not child's play, after all. Besides, Heinz hadn't seriously discussed marriage with her.

Heinz was embarrassed. Looking at Grace, he felt ashamed.

He did not say anything, but just lowered his eyes to hide the disappointment in his eyes.

He was a little disheartened.

He thought that at the very least, Grace would want to marry him. However, it seemed that what he had done was not enough for him to be accepted and trusted by her.

He picked up the wine bottle, poured Old Master Carter and himself a glass of wine each. Only then did he pick it up and say, "Grandpa, let's drink."

The old man harrumphed when he saw his expression. "Look at that cowardly expression of yours. Never had I imagined this day would come, kid."

Heinz smiled bitterly, but he did not respond.

Tilting his head back, he downed the entire glass of wine.
