Grace felt much more at ease when she saw that Heinz was so confident. "This is an old debt. Grandma left for decades and she died away from home. The Old Master hasn't found her for decades, thus it's not easy to bring her back to her ancestral tomb now."
"This old man is very stubborn." Heinz said, "His wife left him and he didn't look for his wife. He actually allowed her to wander around for decades. He has gone too far."
Grace did not say anything.
"In my opinion, there's no need to bring her back to the ancestral tomb." Heinz had his own opinion. "We can compromise by building a large tomb beside theirs. This way, we would have more advantages. Nobody would dare to raise an issue."
Grace did not know whether to laugh or cry. "Although your idea is not bad, it will enrage others. It's too childish."
"Aren't we all alive because of this?" Heinz said in a low voice, "If we do this, we can live with no secrets. Since they are so heartless, why do you have to be so kind?"
"My grandmother said that when we do things, we can't expect everything to go our way. However, we should have a clear conscience." Grace was very sad as she thought of the past.
Over the past few years, she had been following her
grandmother's rules of conduct to handle matters.
"That is a way to live." Heinz said in a deep voice, "Since you have a clear conscience and live a good life, why do you care about the opinions of an old man?"
"You are right but I always hoped that everything would go smoothly and peacefully."
"Is that old man still alive?" He asked.
"Which old man are you talking about?" Grace replied.
"Your grandfather." Heinz glanced at her. "I'm talking about your grandfather."
"He's not my grandfather," she said faintly. "Since the day he chased my grandmother out of the house, he's no longer my grandfather. I've reunited with Zachary because he's my grandmother's grandson. My uncle couldn't bring my grandmother back before this. Now that my cousin wants to do it, I'll definitely support him."
"I support him as well." Heinz stated, "I support your cousin."
"Heinz, thank you," Grace said sincerely.
"You are welcome." Heinz smiled slightly, "In my opinion, it's really a good idea to build a big grave next to the ancestral tomb of the Lowe family. You can discuss it with your cousin."
"That's what my cousin said too." Grace said, "He plans to move my uncle's grave out beside my grandmother's if the Lowe family does not agree with our initial plan."
"Good!" Heinz couldn't help but exclaimed, "He's a
true man. I give my respects to this man."
Grace was at a loss for words and could only look at Heinz.
He also looked at her with deep and affectionate eyes. "Well, you and your sister acknowledged Zachary as your cousin quickly. It seems that he really has some skills."
"I don't know what skills he has." Grace said, "I don't know why, but I had a good impression of him when he talked to me. He is really a good person."
"The things people said about him were not bad as well." Heinz held Grace's hand. "Anyway, it's a good thing to have such a cousin."
Grace chuckled and said, "It's so rare of you to say that."
"Truth to be told," Heinz said. "He isn't a bad person. I have a good impression of him."
Zachary was indeed a very good person.
Grace agreed with him.
She leaned back and said to Heinz, "I'll rest for a while. When we get there, I'm afraid I won't have time to rest."
"You want to sleep?" Heinz was a little resentful and unhappy.
Grace nodded and said, "Of course I want to sleep for a while. I'm very sleepy."
In the past few days, Heinz kept her up for long hours at night. She was very tired and exhausted.
"I don't want you to sleep." There was a hint of disappointment in Heinz's tone.
Grace couldn't help but say, "Sir, I'm very sleepy yet you are not letting me sleep.'¹
"I know, but I still don't want you to sleep." Although he said so, Heinz still reached out to grab Grace's hand, adjusted his position, and stretched out his legs to make himself comfortable.
