Meanwhile, at the hospital.
After Heinz handed Eva and Charles over to the police, he went to the hospital to meet Zachary.
Maxim had been transferred out of the emergency room.
At this time, he was still lying on the bed, with a dull look in his eyes, as if he had lost his soul. He remained silent and was lost in his own world.
When Heinz arrived, Zachary had already received the news that Little Gary had returned.
He felt regretful and was incredibly worried about Little Gary. When he saw Heinz, he immediately asked, "How is it going? Has Little Gary really come back?"
"He has." Heinz nodded and said, "He came back all on his own. Before I could find him, he had already saved himself."
"That child is so clever." Zachary felt even more apologetic and guilty. "Things almost got out of hand.."
Heinz also felt terrified when he thought of it. "Even though we made plans ahead of time, it seems that we weren't thorough enough."
"The ashes were scattered. We were all busy going to the mansion to deal with it, and they took this opportunity." Heinz also deeply reflected on himself. He had been careless.
Zachary nodded with a solemn face. "It's my fault. I didn't make proper arrangements."
''Don't blame yourself." Heinz didn't blame Zachary. After all, it was his fault as Little Gary's father. "I'm responsible for all these mistakes."
The both of them blamed themselves.
Zachary asked again, "Have the culprits been caught?"
"Well, Uncle Charles and Aunt Eva have been taken away by the police." Heinz looked at Zachary and said, "It was the two of them who had ordered someone to kidnap my son. We have both witnesses and material evidence."
At this moment, Donald came in and was shocked to hear their conversation.
"What did you say?"
Heinz said, "You heard me. Your eldest brother tried to kidnap my son. Fortunately, my son escaped by himself."
"You're saying that Charles and Eva kidnapped your child?" Donald still couldn't believe Heinz's words.
Heinz nodded solemnly.
Donald frowned, and frustration flashed through his eyes. Charles and Eva had taken action so quickly, and they were also caught right away. They had failed after all.
He really couldn't believe the outcome. Donald thought to himself, "If this was the case, didn't that mean they didn't even have the slightest chance to fight back?"
Donald asked, "How could this be? They're risking their lives. Have they really been taken away?"
"Uncle Donald," Zachary said. "Let me warn you today that you'd better not associate yourself with them. I believe that you also knew something about their plans; you're just pretending not to. I can still forgive you. I only hope you can understand that you shouldn't go overboard."
"Zachary." Donald naturally started to deny it. "I wasn't with them at all. I came right here after you told me what happened, didn't I?"
"They also came to the hospital. They were getting treatment just now. None of them went to visit Grandpa," Zachary replied. "I think that you can now clearly see their true personalities, and so have I."
"Zachary, it's your call." Donald didn't want to go to jail. Even if he couldn't live in luxury, it was better than going to jail.
"Okay. As long as you don't make trouble, I won't let you starve," Zachary said.
Donald was immediately stunned. "Zachary, are you saying that you will help me?"
"It depends on how you act." Zachary replied and then looked at Heinz again. "I'm really sorry that I let Little Gary get kidnapped."
"I told you that it's alright," Heinz said. "We feel the same about this. That kid is smart; he could even escape on his own."
There was a trace of pride in Heinz's words.
Zachary stared at Donald and said, "Uncle Donald, you should take care of Grandpa here. I have something to attend to."
He wanted to go out and talk to Heinz.
However, Maxim suddenly called out, "Wait!"
