Alice blushed and turned her face away. Without looking at Jensen, she said in a low voice, "Even if you can't let it go, you have to. If you can, then you must."
"Are you determined to break up with me?" Jensen really did not understand why Alice had to break up with him. He asked again, "Aren't we good?"
Alice said in a low voice, "It was originally very good, but you came here with intentions, Jensen."
Jensen was stunned and he immediately explained, "I admit that I did come with intentions, which was because I wanted to be responsible for you."
Alice turned to look at him into his eyes and said, "I don't need you to take any responsibility. Jensen, let it go. Start a new beginning and never think about this matter again."
Jensen's pupils contracted and jumped violently a few times. He stood up and looked down at Alice.
"If we break up, you really don't mind me being with other women?"
Alice was stunned. She pursed her lips and whispered, "I don't mind."
Jensen frowned. His brows were deeply furrowed.
He turned his face away. He took a deep breath, and said in a deep voice, "What on earth do you want me to do? There are only the two of us. Weren't we together from the beginning to the end? If that's the case, then we can just be together. I am worthy of my conscience and you don't have to live in the past trauma. What do you have to be tormented about? Why bother?"
"I've thought about it. I really don't want you to take any responsibility. I don't want us to live in trauma. For you to take responsibility by being with me isn't good for either of us," Alice said word by word, and she added, "I don't need you to be responsible for me. I only need to be responsible for myself."
All a woman wanted was just love.
If he was just responsible for her and was forced to be with her, then there was no need at all.
She didn't want Jensen to be wronged by this guilt for the rest of his life. She didn't need Jensen to pity her.
If there was no love, she would rather not want it at all. That was the greatest responsibility for herself.
Alice didn't say it explicitly.
Jensen didn't seem to understand either.
Alice also stood up and she looked up at him. She smiled slightly. Her red and swollen eyes were still bright and full of her charismatic beauty.
Jensen's expression was blank and his heart was even more entangled. His whole heart had become tight because of this.
Looking at the girl in front of him, she seemed to have made up her mind. Jensen still asked uncertainly, "Alice, have you really made your decision?"
Alice nodded solemnly and said, "Yes."
"Is there no room for any turning point?"
Alice shook her head and said, "No, so let's call it a day!"
Jensen knew that Alice had made up her mind. He could not be too hasty about it. If he pestered her, maybe Alice would be more determined to make such a decision.
Therefore, he could only answer, "Okay, I respect your decision."
Alice was stunned. She felt an inexplicable pain in her heart when she heard that he had agreed.
It was so uncomfortable that she felt a little suffocated, but she still smiled and stretched out her hand and said, "Thank you, Jensen!"
Jensen's eyes were filled with pain as he stared at the beautiful little face in front of him.
Alice's face was so beautiful and young, and her eyes were bright. Every time he saw her, he felt happiness and bliss.
Seeing her hand reaching over, he also reached out and clenched Alice's hand, his wide palm holding Alice's small hand tightly.
His eyes were shining and the corner of his mouth was lifted into a bitter arc. When they looked at each other, he pulled her into his arms with an impulse and a little force.
Alice froze and her body became much stiffer.
She was held in Jensen's arms. She wanted to move but she didn't know how. She only felt a great pain in her heart.
