True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 640

"What do you mean by this?" Rosalie raised an eyebrow; her eyes were filled with disdain. "Are you mocking me? Why would becoming my daughter-in-law make her lose her life? I really dislike your words."

Jovane paused and then burst into laughter. "Rosalie, don't feel wronged. To get along with you, one must have courage."

"What's wrong with me?" Rosalie felt even more uncomfortable. "How did I end up making others lose their lives?"

"Rosalie." Jovane looked at her. "Don't you think that you'll make others lose their lives?"

She asked, allowing Rosalie to think of the answer for herself.

Jovane didn't seem to be afraid of anything. On the contrary, she remained calm when she looked at Rosalie who was so angry.

Rosalie's brow creased. "Of course I won't kill others. Why is it so hard to get along with me? Don't you get along well with me?"

"That's because I don't let you have your way," Jovane replied in a low voice. "I'm also not afraid of you, so I just barely manage to get along with you."

"What do you mean by 'barely'?" Rosalie's brows furrowed. "Why do I sound so inhumane from your words?"

"It's not that!" Jovane replied calmly, "I just want to tell you that if you were not my sister-in- law, I would've never gotten along with you."

Rosalie tensed up in an instant. "Then why don't you leave? I don't need you to go shopping with me. I can do it myself," she stated unhappily.

"See, you're exploding like a firecracker after a few words. How can you let people talk?" Jovane was not angry and she still looked very calm. "I won't go, either. Some things should be said. We've known each other for half of our lives anyway and we know each other well. Don't take it to heart. Your son is now in a good relationship with the girl. It seems that he is going to marry her."

"That won't do." Rosalie immediately objected. "That woman mustn't be Jensen's wife."

"I've also said that. This morning, Jensen came to see me. I already said that she was not suitable," Jovane said. "But Jensen didn't take it seriously and is determined. I don't think anyone can stop him."

"He will marry that woman over my dead body," Rosalie returned coldly. There was a sharp glint in her eyes and it was clear that she had made up her mind.

Upon hearing this, Jovane frowned. She didn't like listening to threatening words.

She said lightly, "Rosalie, if you die, we can find a gentle woman for Nelson to live with the rest of his life. Then, Jensen and Alice will be fine too. It's also not bad for Nelson to have a second baby."

Jovane had said that on purpose. She would make it clear that death was not a big deal.

There was no need to threaten people with death. Those who cared, naturally cared. Those who didn't, wouldn't care no matter what you said.

In fact, she was just inviting humiliation upon herself.

Rosalie's heart skipped a beat when she heard Jovane's words. Her expression changed and she was extremely bitter. She gritted her teeth but couldn't say anything when she looked at Jovane after a while.

Jovane knew that Rosalie had taken her words to heart.

Well, it was good. It was worthwhile for such painstaking efforts.

She looked at the counter of the watch shop and asked, "Do you still want to buy a watch?"

Rosalie glanced at her and said, "What? I'm not in the mood anymore."

"Don't do that. If you don't buy a watch and don't take the medicine on time, you'll be in poor health. Then, it'll benefit Nelson. He's got the capital to find a girl in her thirties," Jovane remarked lightly. "But by then, you'll really be in trouble."

Rosalie couldn't leave even if she wanted to, even if she was no longer in the mood to shop. In the end, she gritted her teeth and bought a watch.

Alice and Grace found a place to eat on the third floor of the mall. It was a quiet restaurant where they could eat, rest, and drink, which was very comfortable.
