The staff returned their documents to them.
Grace's hands were cold. She all the documents and put them into her purse in a panic. Then, she turned around quickly. Her steps were a little messy but she still couldn't help but want to escape.
This was too embarrassing.
Heinz immediately chased after her.
Grace left in a hurry; her mind was blank and she couldn't listen to anything. She only felt like she had been slapped across the face.
It was Heinz's second marriage.
What was she then?
The role she was playing now turned out to be a mistress. Even if Jodie was gone, she still hadn't clarified the matter with Heinz before getting the marriage certificate with him. Moreover, he didn't even tell her that he had been married.
She thought of how Heinz and Jodie had once gotten their marriage certificate and the kind of feelings they had for each other, even to the point of registering their marriage.
They must have had a deep relationship. Only then would they get their marriage certificate.
However, people who were so close to each other still broke up, and then Jodie passed away.
Grace suddenly lost confidence.
Was the relationship between her and Heinz as intense as it was when they were at that stage?
Even if it was, so what?
Their marrige was not canceled yet.
Heinz and Jodie were a couple by law.
She was just a contemptible mistress.
In the past, she didn't know this, so she could be with Heinz. But now that she knew, she couldn't do that anymore.
After a short moment of panic, Grace's heart was in mess but she quickly found her rationality. She took a breath and calmed down.
Heinz caught up with her and grabbed Grace's wrist.
Grace stopped because of his actions and stood there stiffly, refusing to see the complicated and apologetic expression on Heinz's face.
She was in a complicated mood at that moment and her whole heart was in a mess.
She didn't know how to deal with her children, let alone how to deal with this matter.
She only knew that she was now the mistress of another man's marriage. The man's marriage was still there and she couldn't continue on.
"Grace, listen to me," Heinz said as he tightened his grip around her wrist.
He was so strong and he clutched her wrist so tightly that Grace couldn't help frowning because of the pain. However, her heart hurt even more, so she didn't want to remind him of anything.
"I'm sorry." Heinz sincerely apologized, "I'm really sorry that such a mistake happened."
"This is not a mistake." Grace immediately retorted, "Heinz, this is a matter of principle. You are married but you didn't even mention it before."
If he had mentioned it, she would have left him a long time ago.
"I forgot." Heinz also felt that his explanation was very pathetic. In fact, he had indeed forgotten.
Grace laughed helplessly. "But have your ever thinking in my shoes?"
"I'm really sorry. Please forgive me. I didn't mean to hide it from you!" Heinz didn't know what to say. He stood there bitterly and looked at Grace, feeling apologetic and guilty.
She said anxiously, "Heinz, this is a matter of principle. Being in a marriage or just in love are quite different. Do you understand?"
"I understand." Heinz nodded. He had lost a lot of his emotions and his handsome face instantly lost its vitality.
Grace also felt that she was becoming more anxious. "What should I do now? Every time I think of it, I will know that my husband has been married before, and that I found out when I was about to get the marriage certificate. I can't blame anyone. I have become a mistress without realizing it. If I still want to be with you, if I go on like this, how would I face myself, my relatives and my children?"
