Heinz, who had just arrived at the company, immediately grew tense when he received the phone call. He frowned and asked, "Are you sure it's Jodie?"
"I'm not entirely sure," Lester replied. "However, at four o'clock in the morning, she didn't sleep, but ran out to the place opposite the Jones Estate. Wasn't she waiting for the contact between these three fake reporters?"
Heinz was stunned by Lester's question.
"Find a way to confirm it immediately. Send someone to the Lawson family to see where Jodie is right now," Heinz ordered in a deep voice. His eyes flashed with cold murderous intent. "Lester, arrange for someone else to go over."
"Yes, sir!"
Heinz put down the phone and immediately gave Jensen a call.
Jensen was not aware of the news at this time, and it seemed that he was still asleep. He had recently reconciled with Alice and had been indulging in romance, forgetting all about the news.
At Hart Villa District.
Jensen hadn't woken up..
He and Alice had a crazy night yesterday, and he was exhausted. Luckily, he only had to work tonight so he could rest this morning.
Alice's stomach then grumbled.
"I'm so hungry." She was very tired and her body was sore. She didn't want to move at all. Jensen had gone all in for the entire night. They were at it for a very long time, and even forgot to have their meal.
Alice wanted to tell him that she was hungry a few times, but Jensen never gave her the chance to finish her words.
"I'm hungry too." Jensen smiled and leaned over to whisper in Alice's ear.
Alice was very annoyed. "It's all because of you. I'm starving to death."
Jensen's deep voice rang in her ear. "But aren't you happy, too? We're the happiest today, aren't we?"
Alice pursed her lips and did not reply.
The phone rang.
Alice urged him, "You should answer the phone and get me something to eat. I don't want to move. I have no energy left because of you."
"Okay, I'll take care of you." Jensen smiled helplessly and got out of bed, ready to answer the phone.
As soon as Alice heard he wanted to take care of her, she immediately roared, "Jensen, if you do it again, I will make you suffer."
Jensen paused and turned to Alice blankly, "Y-You seem to have misunderstood me. I said that I'll take care of your meal, not take care of you in bed again."
Alice froze at his explanation. She then quickly calmed down and said, "You'd better answer the phone quickly. Don't waste time. The phone has been ringing for a long time."
Jensen agreed with a smile, "Alright."
She must have had fear lingering in her heart, which was why she acted in this manner.
Alice was lying on the bed alone. She covered her face and did not dare to look at Jensen. Her face was warm and very red. When she thought of what she had just said, she felt very embarrassed.
How could she even think of that? It was hilarious.
Jensen didn't mean that, but she was the one who had been thinking too much. Had she been too lonely in the past years?
Jensen picked up the phone and saw that it was Heinz who had called. He thought that Heinz had reconciled with Grace and was calling him to give the good news.
