As soon as Grace entered the door, Candace froze.
Then, she saw Grace's gloomy expression and an angry face.
Candace knew that she had been spied on.
She looked at Grace and lowered her gaze. In a cold voice, she said, "You don't have any manners at all. Who taught you to barge in suddenly while we were talking?"
"You did!" Grace said coldly, "My upbringing and negative attributes are all from you."
Candace was so embarrassed that she didn't say anything. Perhaps she was too angered by Grace to say anything.
At the moment, standing behind Grace was Heinz, who also came in quickly. He walked closely behind her.
He didn't expect Grace to kick the door and barge in so impulsively. He couldn't react at all.
As soon as Candace saw him walk in, her frown deepened and her face was filled with rage.
Timothy looked at Grace and Heinz in surprise. He seemed to have understood something. After recovering from the shock, he fixed his gaze on Grace. He was surprised by observing her attitude towards Candace.
Timothy turned to Heinz and asked in surprise, "Mr. Jones, what are you doing here?"
Heinz smiled and said, "Mr. Yarbrough, the lady laying on the bed happens to be my mother-in-law, who is also Grace's mom."
Timothy was stunned. When he looked at Grace again, he was bewildered.
Grace stood there without looking at Timothy, just staring at Candace. She said, word by word, "I'm asking you for the last time. Who is my biological father? If you're willing to tell me, everything that has happened in the past will be written off. If you still refuse to tell me, I'll never forgive you for the rest of my life. Think it over and don't let me ask you again!"
Candace sneered before she spoke. "Your father is Anderson Smith."
Grace took a deep breath. She knew that she couldn't get an answer from her mother, so she stopped asking.
She turned her eyes to Timothy and said in a deep voice, "Mr. Yarbrough, since you suspect that you may have a child unknown, and I don't know who my biological father is, why don't we go for a DNA test to confirm if we really are father and daughter?"
Timothy's body shook and he looked at Candace. "Candace, is that child right in front of me now?"
She chuckled and said, "So what if she is, so what if she isn't?"
"Don't ask her," Grace said in a deep voice. "Let's go for the test."
Timothy's brows knitted. Looking at the situation, he was utterly confused.
His mind was fluctuating. He looked at the young girl, who looked very much like Candace when she was young, in front of him in a daze.
It was no wonder that he was a little enchanted when he first saw her but was this child really the child he had with Candace?
Timothy didn't dare to believe that he had such good fortune.
Looking at Grace, he paused for a long time and didn't speak.
Heinz said, "Mr. Yarbrough, I think we should really go and take the test. Otherwise, well have our doubts and wonder. Also, the test results will help with dispelling these questions we have, and also so that we can be at peace. What do you think?"
Timothy came back to his senses. "Okay, you are right. Let's go."
