True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 877

"Where are you going?"

Zachary asked in a deep voice.

"I want to go!" Candace hesitated and said, "In any case, I have to go first. If Grace finds me.

I won't be able to go."

"Then, tell me all your secrets!"

"What secrets do I have?" She retorted in a low voice. "You're really strange. What kind of secrets are you on about?"

"Do you have anything to do with the news about Grace and Heinz? What role did you play behind the scenes? Hurry up and say it. Maybe Grace will agree to let you go wherever it is you want to go, or maybe she won't interfere with what you do in your last moments, be it receiving treatment or waiting for death like this." Zachary ignored her words.

From the looks of it, she did not intend to come clean.

He was not in a hurry. He stood there, looking down at Candace without saying a word.

She could not help but frown under his sharp gaze. She was very irritated and wanted to struggle, but she really had no strength. She looked at him with pleading eyes.

However, he remained unmoved.

He continued looking at her with calm eyes and said plainly, "Aunt Candace, don't struggle any more. You should just tell us everything. What is the relationship between Henry, Jodie and you guys?"

"There isn't any relationship. I don't know them at all," she said.

"Then do you know that Jodie hurt Grace? You're willing to let them treat your daughter like this?"

"Zachary, Grace has to go through hardships in order to grow as a person. Why don't you understand? You fought alone, and so did Grace. She must become strong on her own, otherwise, it will be difficult for her to gain a foothold in this world. That's why these minor hardships that she's gone through are beneficial to her."

"Aunt Candace, do you mean you want Grace to mature by going through these things? In other words, in my opinion, you also played a part in fabricating the news, making Grace's reputation plummet and causing her to suffer the whole world's scorn?" "No, I didn't. I didn't. Do you think I have nothing else to do? I told you, I don't know!" She denied it directly.

"Aunt Candace, what's the point of hiding it now? Just say it. I don't want my cousin to be hurt like this. If you tell me, I might consider letting you go," he said in a deep voice.

"Zachary, will you really consider letting me go?" She asked with a hint of nostalgia in her eyes.

"A man keeps his word. If what you say is true, maybe I will consider it," he said patiently.

"Alright, I'll tell you then. The news was schemed by me, with the purpose of letting Grace know that not everything in this world is smooth- sailing. She can only become strong if she can come out victorious in the face of a storm."

Zachary frowned and said, "Aunt Candace, this is not enough to persuade me!"

"What do you mean?" She frowned.

"Aunt Candace!" He shook his head. "A reason like this can't convince me. You said that Grace would become more confident after going through these hardships, but I don't believe that at all. On the contrary, I think that you have an unspeakable goal."
