True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 971

Heinz looked at Miranda before he stood up.

He did it out of respect as she was many years his senior, but part of it was also because he was courteous and a gentleman. Most importantly, he did it out of respect for Mr. Quell.

All of this was for Diego's sake instead of Miranda's.

When Miranda saw Heinz standing up, panic flashed in her eyes.

Her heart pounded as she unconsciously glanced at him.

Heinz nodded slightly and said, "Mrs. Quell, please come in and have a seat."

Miranda nodded and immediately lowered her head. She was obviously struggling internally.

She was worried and scared.

Then, she subconsciously peered at her husband.

Diego's expression was very calm as he looked at Miranda as if nothing had happened.

Miranda was not sure if Heinz had said anything, but she was very clear that she could not show that she was panicking.

She absolutely had to remain calm and not let people see her in fear.

Diego said, "Miranda, come in. Let me introduce them to you. This is my boss, Mr. Carter, and this is his grandson, Heinz."

Miranda's face visibly stiffened.

She didn't expect that Heinz's grandfather was Diego's boss, and Diego respected William very much.

From what she knew of William, Diego was deeply respectful of him. Furthermore, Diego admired and emulated the self-discipline William showed.

However, Miranda would never have imagined that Diego's boss was Heinz's grandfather.

Was Heinz subtly warning her?

Why didn't he say anything this morning about the fact that he knew Diego?

Miranda looked at Heinz with a puzzled look on her face, as if she was asking him whether he had informed Diego about her misdeeds.

However, Heinz had no expression on his face. He was amused that she could still question him through eye contact.

Heinz looked very calm as he just glanced at Miranda without saying anything.

On the other hand, Miranda was very confused. What was going on?

She immediately realized that it was merely a gathering. Diego probably didn't know what she was doing, and it was simply a warning from Heinz.

Miranda comforted herself. If Diego was clueless, then everything would be fine.

It seemed like she had to make a long-term plan for this matter. She couldn't act rashly anymore. She was afraid that if she made a mistake, she would be banished from the Quell family.

However, what about Marry?

Marry was her daughter, so she couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

Miranda was mentally struggling with herself, so she forgot to respond.

Diego's gaze grew harsh when he saw her awkward expression.

He repeated in a louder voice, "Miranda, I'm talking to you."

Miranda immediately came to her senses. "Yes!"

"This is my boss, Mr. Carter," Diego repeated himself.

Miranda quickly walked forward and nodded at William. With a brilliant smile and a very respectful attitude, she said, "I often hear my husband talk about his boss whom he respects very much. It's an honor to finally meet you."

William nodded and smiled calmly. "Come and sit down, Mrs. Quell. It's our first time meeting today, and I hope we would meet more often in the future."

Heinz realized that there was a hidden meaning behind his words.

Why would they meet in the future?

Would there even be a next time?
