Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon) novel Chapter 714

Meanwhile, the two people who were being talked about online were not bothered and had gone to the church they had visited before.

As they left the church, the two of them walked side by side on the steps. Jasper lowered his head and leaned close to Ruby's ear to ask her what she had prayed for. Ruby looked up at him playfully and smiled, refusing to tell him.

Just as Jasper pinched her face gently and was about to speak, Ruby's phone rang. The call was from her assistant, who was calling to congratulate Ruby.

Ruby held Jasper's wrist as they walked down the stairs. Ruby answered the person on the other end of the phone with a smile. After a while, it seemed like someone else had taken over the call on the other end. The voice coming from the other end of the phone was now of a higher pitch.

It was Paula who had snatched the phone. Ruby could hear Paula's excitement through the phone. "Fuck, Ruby... What should I call you now? You're from Onlybr's Studio? Ruby Blackwell? From the Blackwell family? The company's designer and the boss' wife?

This information was too much for Paula. Paula had thought that Ruby was just an intern and figured that Ruby might know someone with influence who could help her to enter the company to learn some things. Paula had not imagined this.

Paula had just wanted to go to the washroom but she had overheard Winnie on the phone. Others might not have understood Winnie's vague conversation, but Paula could. Paula had then immediately snatched Winnie's phone from her.

Ruby turned to look at Jasper, who was listening quietly. Ruby smiled and replied, "As far as you're concerned, I'm just Ruby. Just call me Ruby."

Paula couldn't believe she had thrown a tantrum with her boss' wife, complaining that it was unfair and wanting to compete with her for the assistant position. 'My brain must be fried.' Paula thought.

After exchanging a few words, Ruby hung up, emphasizing that they would get along as they had.

From Ruby's words, Jasper understood what was going on. Before Jasper could say anything, he received a message from his enthusiastic mother-in-law, [Jasper, today you're considered newlyweds. You can do whatever you like tonight, and you both don't have to come home. Hackett has agreed.]

After reading the message, the corners of Jasper's lips curled into a beautiful arc. It was as dazzling as the warm sun. Jasper handed the phone to Ruby with a faint smile.

Ruby did not understand what was going on, so she looked down and read her mother's message. Ruby didn't know what to say about her mother.

Jasper replied with one hand, [Thank you, Sherri. I got it.]

Sherri replied, [Yes, have fun.]

Jasper responded, [Okay.]

Neither Jasper nor Ruby went to the office. When the two of them left the church, it was already past four in the afternoon, so they went to Grand Manor for dinner.

After leaving Grand Manor, Jasper drove Ruby to Evergreen Gardens in his white Lamborghini.

Evergreen Gardens had two buildings. One of the buildings was a gift from Natalie's brother. Trevon had bought the other building. On the way there, Jasper was wondering which house to take Ruby to.

Jasper tapped his fingers rhythmically on the steering wheel. He held Ruby's hand with his other hand and squeezed it. Ruby saw that he was thinking about something and asked gently, "Where are we going?"

Jasper asked, "Do you want to go to Evergreen Gardens or Phoenix Manor?"

"Which house do you have the key to?" Ruby's voice was soft and buzzing like a mosquito, but Jasper still heard her.

Jasper answered very quickly, as if nothing was wrong, "Neither."

Ruby was silent, thinking, 'So he doesn't have the key to his own house? This isn't a good habit. Even if he has good skills, he shouldn't be using them all the time. Although practice makes perfect, this isn't something to show off about.'

Considering that Evergreen Gardens was not remote and that Phoenix Manor was relatively far from the city, Jasper finally chose Evergreen Gardens so that they could go to work tomorrow.

Ruby was not unfamiliar with his mother's house because she had childhood memories there. Ultimately, Jasper chose the larger place, which belonged to his father.

It was rush hour, and the roads were congested. An hour later, Jasper's sports car finally arrived at Evergreen Gardens.

After parking the car, Jasper magically took out a small suitcase from the trunk.

Ruby stood at the side of the car door and waited. Seeing that there was something else in his hand, she was a little curious. "When did you prepare that?"

"It's always been there," Jasper answered.

Jasper was not lying. Jasper had always had the habit of leaving things in the trunk in case he had to go on a last-minute business trip. He did not like the anxious feeling of having to buy things at the last minute.

Seeing that Ruby was still staring at him, Jasper realized she had probably misunderstood. Jasper explained, "I've always kept it there in case I need it for a last-minute business trip."

Jasper had Ruby's clothes in the suitcase once they had started dating.

Ruby understood and nodded.

Jasper pushed the suitcase with one hand and held Ruby's hand with his other, bringing her into the house his father had bought. After a while, Jasper finally opened the door. Ruby stood at the side and did not enter immediately. She said hesitantly, "Jasper, it's so difficult to unlock. Could it be Trevon's private domain? Why don't we go somewhere else?"

"No need. There's no problem if I can open it. Don't think too much about it." Jasper answered.

'It's just a house, and it's not like we'll be looking through his stuff. What problem could there be?' Jasper thought.

This was the first time Ruby was in this place. Ultimately, she listened to Jasper and followed him in. "Did Trevon buy two houses and merge them?"

The area looked a little big.
