Trying to resist disgust, Mia dumped the garbage into the trash can, thinking about what happened these days and wiping tears.
Before, even in the face of difficulties, she would never shed tears, because she believed in saying “After every storm, there is a rainbow.” She thought that when she grew up, she would be free to control her destiny and would have her blooming spring.
However, before she could go out into the world, her father ruthlessly broke her wings and threw her into the colder and darker abyss. The tears kept falling. There were more tears these days than she'd ever shed in the first half of her life.
Sobbing, she finished cleaning the room and suddenly heard a sound. Looking all around, she found her phone that was still charging on the old desk in the small room.
Seeing the familiar number, it took her a long time to calm down and find a courage to answer.
“Hey, Mia, what happened to you? You don't answer the phone and don’t go out. What have you been doing all this month? Don't even want to work in Huntington Hospital anymore. Maybe, you’ve married a rich dude, huh?” Brooke Miller, good friend, was concerned and teased with curiosity. She didn’t know what happened to Mia and said all this without a second thought.
Hearing that the sugar daddy made her his wife, Mia couldn’t hold it anymore. She started crying and couldn’t d say a word.
“Mia…”
In the park, sitting on the small bench, Brooke was listening to Mia’s story with her eyes wide open. When Mia finished, she opened her mouth from shock and said, “And in this situation he’s still your father? Mia, you were illegally detained. You have to call the police!”
