Hera could relate to this. Daphne never told her the truth and didn't want to involve her either. Daphne even went as far as sending Hera to her grandmother's house, facing everything alone…
"But I think you know who it is," Xavier suddenly said.
"Me?" Hera was confused.
Xavier nodded. "Yes!"
Hera looked at him suspiciously, waiting for him to continue. How could she possibly know?
Instead of explaining, Xavier grabbed her hand and asked, "Can you promise that you'll find the real culprit behind my father's death if I tell you everything I know?"
He had agreed to his mother's request to feign madness for years. But it wasn't just to survive in the Killian family. He couldn't stand the idea that his father died but the culprit still roamed free. Even an innocent person was framed.
Hera could feel the intensity of his grip. It seemed he was entrusting her with his burdens. She nodded solemnly. "I promise!"
She was determined to clear Lucius' name and uncover the mastermind behind Daphne's death, bringing them all to justice!
"Alright, I trust you!" Xavier released her hand. He placed the thermos container on the table and opened it. Inside was a lumpy mess.
Hera eyed the insides of the container suspiciously.
Xavier lifted the gooey mess out, revealing a layer of flour underneath. He reached into the flour and pulled out a pouch, inside of which was a phone.
Hera was amazed. As expected of Xavier, always so cautious.
