Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 697

Linda looked at the men lying on the ground motionlessly, furious.

These men were trained professionals, yet Hera took them down so easily! Linda didn't expect Hera to be this impressive in combat!

Unable to put up with her act anymore, Linda switched off the audio and snapped, "How dare you attack the police!"

Now that Linda had finally shown her true colors, Hera figured that that was enough acting. She glanced at one of the "police badges", sneering. "The police? When did our police badges look like that?"

It was only then that Linda noticed how fake the police badges were. She gulped, silently blaming Stephen for sending such useless men.

"If I remember correctly, according to criminal law, impersonating a police officer can result in months of imprisonment or other forms of punishment. If the offense is severe, it can also lead to years of imprisonment. How many years do you think your sentence would be for this?" Hera asked calmly.

Seething, Linda clenched the walkie-talkie she hid under her sleeves and issued a command.

Hera had her back facing the window, and the sniper was in position, ready to shoot.

Linda took a deep breath. A sinister glint flashed across her eyes as she questioned back, "Is this the gift you prepared for me?"

"There's a sniper outside the window behind you," Tyler reminded Hera through the device in her earrings.

Her eyelids fluttered when she heard that.

"No, but this is." She walked past the men on the ground, heading toward the broadcast system to press a button.

"Robin, I think we should follow our original plan. She would pass by the Jedburgh Highway to go to the countryside every month. A part of the road is known for accidents because it's a zig-zag. Stage a minor collision there. The police won't know that it's staged…"

Linda's eyes widened in surprise upon hearing the recording. Hera had made a copy of the recording!

Linda hurriedly switched off the broadcast system, but it was to no avail. The recording was still playing!

Her hands frantically ran over the keyboard of switches, then she smashed the system with a chair and unplugged the power.

However, it was useless. She couldn't stop the recording from playing.

It was played throughout the entire building through the speakers.

The guests surged in a commotion at the revelation.
