Hera, Bernard, Samantha, Thiago, and a few other friends were having a gathering in a private room at a barbecue restaurant.

"Let's celebrate Hera's discharge from the hospital. Cheers!" Samantha stood up, raising her glass.

Although Hera had been out of the hospital for a few days, everyone had been busy with their work, and tonight was finally an opportunity to gather.

Everyone raised their glasses with Hera raising her glass of juice. After finishing their drinks, they all settled back into their seats.

"Eat as much as you want tonight. I'm treating, and nobody's allowed to fight me for the bill," Samantha declared.

Nicholas scoffed. "Fight for the bill? My family owns this barbecue restaurant. So, tonight's meal is on the house."

"No way! I feel uncomfortable if I don't pay when I eat out. This bill has to be on me!" Samantha insisted.

"Fine, no one's fighting you on that," Hera chimed in, knowing that Samantha couldn't stand not paying for meals. If they continued arguing, she might just end up buying dinner for every guest in the restaurant.

"Hera knows me best." Samantha laughed.

Hera poured herself a glass of water and raised it solemnly. "Thank you all for your help. I'm not good with alcohol, so I'll toast you all with water instead."

It was rare for her to be so formal, and everyone was surprised.

The first to recover was Thiago. "Oh, come on, Hera. You don't have to be so formal with us! It was nothing. My efforts could never compare to what you helped me out with before."

"It might have been nothing for Thiago, but not for me!" Nicholas seized the opportunity. "I was at your beck and call and made sure Roman Killian behaved. I put in a lot of effort. So, you have to repay me!"
