Hera was puzzled. Why was Bernard acting strange today? Was he okay?
She glanced at the mirror and suddenly realized something. "This is the women's restroom. You need to leave."
Bernard had been so worried about her that he hadn't thought twice before rushing in. Just then, a woman walked out from one of the stalls and bumped into him.
The woman froze for a moment before letting out a scream.
Hera was about to push Bernard out when she saw the blushing woman rush out while sending a voice message to her friend, "Hey, girl. You won't believe me! I accidentally walked into the wrong restroom but saw this incredibly handsome guy…"
Both Hera and Bernard fell silent.
As they left the restroom, Bernard carefully supported Hera by the waist, concerned that she might slip.
"If you don't feel like eating meat, I can take you somewhere else. Do you want something sour or spicy?" Bernard asked gently.
Hera was still feeling queasy from the nausea. She remembered the disgusting image of Linda and couldn't bear the thought of meat. And she wasn't in the mood for sour or spicy food either. "I want something sweet."
Bernard had only heard of a pregnant woman craving sour or spicy food. And there was an old wives' tale that said a woman's cravings would reveal their baby's gender. What did craving sweet foods mean?
Regardless of whether it was a boy or a girl, Bernard would love the baby all the same.
"Alright, I'll take you to a dessert shop for some cake." He smiled.
But Hera declined, "This restaurant has desserts too. I'll just order something here."
After all, she was the one who had invited everyone out for dinner. It wouldn't feel right to leave when they hadn't even started eating.
