"What's the meaning of this, Bernard?" Rhett yelled. "Chad, how could you let him do whatever he likes!"
Bernard had brought the entire Killian family here. Once word of that got out, outsiders would think that the family was done for, regardless of whether they were in trouble.
Especially XS Corporation, who would shamelessly snatch away Killian Corporation's resources, and that would ruin the company. Rhett wondered why Chad was allowing this to happen.
Chad wasn't too shocked since he learned of this news in the morning. He merely asked Bernard with a stern expression, "Do you have to destroy the Killian family to feel satisfied?"
Bernard grinned coldly. "Exactly!"
Chad became furious instantly. Before he could even lash out, Neil, who had received the latest news, informed him in a low voice, "Mr. Chad, things aren't looking good. The reporters have leaked the matter of the Killians being taken away by the police.
"The news is trending now, and there's no way to suppress it."
Chad knitted his brows tightly. Before he could even come up with a countermeasure, he heard Neil continue.
"I have more bad news. Just as the stock market opened at 9:00 am, Gino got rid of all of Killian Corporation's shares in his hands, prompting the other shareholders to all follow suit. Within half an hour, Killian Corporation's share price has hit the lower limit."
"What!" Chad was rooted to the spot in shock. The thing he feared the most had come true.
The fate of the Killian family wasn't meant to turn out like this. It was Bernard and Hera who wanted to destroy them.
"Dad!"
"Chad!"
One by one, each Killian family member was led into the room. They began to cast pleading looks at Chad, but there was nothing he could do. He could only stare at Bernard in disbelief.
"How could you do this? Have you forgotten about Dad's favoritism toward you?"
Chad couldn't contain himself and rushed forward. He grabbed Bernard by the collar before slamming him against the wall while roaring angrily. Chad's face had gone crimson out of anger. Even his eyes had turned bloodshot.
"Mr. Chad, don't be reckless!"
