Two days later, Dora and Dylan were at the finals of the Agrecia Informatics Competition.
"Sit here. I'll take you back to the hotel once the competition is over," Dylan instructed Dora like a parent. He had taken her to the front row of the spectators' seats reserved for family members.
Dora wore a pink cheerleading outfit. Her black hair was tied messily into two uneven ponytails on the back of her head. It had taken Dylan half an hour to come up with those results.
Dylan didn't understand why it seemed quite easy for Hera to tie Dora's hair. However, when it was his turn, every hair strand seemed to have a mind of its own, making it impossible to style Dora's hair properly.
He finally came to the conclusion that it was a hassle for women to have long hair. However, such a messy hairstyle did not affect Dora's naturally adorable appearance.
"Relax. I'm here to watch you take the grand prize! Good luck, Dylan!" Dora raised the colorful ribbons in her hands.
Dylan entered the waiting room alone. There were 20 contestants from all across Agrecia inside the waiting room.
There were two sessions of competition that morning. The first session would narrow down to the top five contestants, and the second session would determine the champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up.
At that moment, every contestant had a mentor by their side. Only Dylan was alone.
"The competition will start soon. Is your mentor not here yet?" the organizer's staff asked Dylan as they entered the room for a pre-competition inspection.
"I don't have a mentor. I'm on my own," Dylan answered.
The staff were startled. As far as they knew, Dylan was the youngest contestant in the competition at only four years old. He and Dora had traveled all the way from Flowera so that he could participate in this competition, and their parents didn't seem worried at all.
