Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 809

XS Corporation took over Killian Corporation five years ago. All the Killians were kicked out of the company. None of them held any power within the Killian residence, especially Chad, the former head of the family.

Although Bernard did not kick Chad out, keeping him at the Killian residence was almost the equivalent of being under house arrest.

Things had drastically changed within the Killian family, so life wasn't going well for any of them at the Killian residence. Those who dared not cross Bernard in the past now feared offending him more than ever.

The only exception was Lucius, who had treated Bernard kindly in the past. Bernard was very lenient with Lucius and allowed him to keep his shares at Killian Corporation. Since Giselle was Lucius' biological daughter, she also benefited from the situation.

But Giselle knew that was solely because Bernard had forgotten about Hera. He only seemed to remember Lucius' kindness toward him from the past.

Bernard also recalled that he had a niece, but he didn't seem to realize that his niece was a completely different person now.

Giselle took advantage of that by intentionally getting closer to Bernard. She deliberately wanted everyone in Jedburgh and even Jadonia to assume that she was the only woman Bernard cherished.

Giselle had learned that Bernard was at this hotel. Thus, she purposely dressed up so that she could join him for lunch.

Who knew that Dora would ruin the dress she had specially ordered?

Bernard was a clean freak. If he saw how filthy Giselle's dress was, he would never allow her within six feet of him.

"Are you blind?" Giselle hissed before kicking Dora in anger. "I specially had this dress custom-made by a top designer! It's the only one in this world. Can you even afford to pay for it?"

Although the server nearby wanted to come over and help, she dared not to do so. She had clearly seen Giselle bump into Dora first before kicking her aside. However, the server dared not to tell the truth since she couldn't afford to offend Giselle, Bernard's niece.

As Dora backed away, she accidentally pressed her hand on a piece of glass shard. It hurt her so much that tears began to fill her eyes. Upon learning that the dress was custom-made, she was certain that Hera couldn't afford to pay it back since she was so poor.

Dora had caused trouble for Hera. Even if Hera sold Dora off, that wasn't enough to pay off such an expensive dress.

Dora apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it."
