Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 827

"Really?" Dora and Dylan exclaimed in unison, their eyes widening as they spoke.

They stared unblinkingly at Nicholas in disbelief.

"Yes!" Nicholas nodded convincingly.

Dylan knitted his eyebrows. He knew Hera, and she didn't seem like she'd fall in love with someone like Nicholas.

Dora, on the other hand, couldn't stand it anymore. She immediately burst into tears.

"Huh? Why are you crying?" A puzzled Nicholas froze. He had no experience in raising children.

Gino was taken by surprise too. He tried to comfort Dora to stop her from crying. "What's wrong, Dora? Don't cry."

"When I grow up, will I have a hole in my mouth like you?" Dora mumbled as the tears streamed down her cheeks.

Gino was speechless. Was she crying simply because of that?

Nicholas didn't expect Dora to have such a keen sight. He stopped wearing lip piercings five years ago when he went abroad to further his studies. The hole in his mouth should've healed almost completely by now. No one would notice it if they didn't take a closer look at his mouth.

"I went to get a piercing back then. It won't be passed down to you," he explained, hoping to cease Dora's tears. "Besides, I'm not your biological father, so you won't—"

Just then, they heard Hera asking, "Dora? What's wrong?"

She came out to see what happened after hearing Dora's cries. Nicholas froze at her voice. It was familiar to his ears.

He turned, and his eyes fell on Hera. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her. The only thing that changed about her was that she looked more mature than five years ago.

"You're finally back!" he exclaimed, striding over to her. He wanted to embrace her, but she put up a hand to stop him. She still had the tattoo on the back of her hand, and he could see it when she extended her arm. It made her seem cool and indifferent.
