Lucius poured a glass of water for Hera. "Where have you been all these years? Have you been well?"
"I've been in Flowera. Things are fine," Hera answered honestly.
So, she had been in Flowera. No wonder there was no news of her in Jadonia.
On second thought, Bernard's friends had sealed off all information related to Hera. Even if she were in the country, it would've been hard to get any trace of her. It must've been tricky for her to get around now that she was back.
"Since you're back, do you have any place to stay? If not, you can stay with me. After all, I'm your dad," Lucius said.
"No need," Hera rejected nonchalantly. "Besides, Mr. Killian, we're not related anymore. Don't call yourself my dad."
Their relationship completely fell apart ever since he forbade her from investigating five years ago.
Lucius frowned. His lips parted as if he wanted to say something, but nothing came out.
It wasn't that Hera didn't recall him. She just refused to remember him.
At that moment, Hera's buzzing phone broke the silence. It was a call from Margaret.
"Esther, as per your orders, I've asked Ms. Killian for the contract. I just forwarded it to you. Have a look. What should we do now?"
"Alright." Hera did not disconnect the call and opened WhatsApp to check the contract.
There were so many loopholes in the contract. Hera snorted at the thought of Giselle's provoking expression and all the little tricks she pulled in the past.
Hera calmly said, "We'll sit back and enjoy the show tomorrow."
After ending the call, she gazed at Lucius. "I want to see Theo."
Lucius was surprised to learn that Hera wanted to meet Theo, not Bernard. However, he still got up to take her to Theo's office.
They opened the office door. The security guards were still standing on guard outside, fearing that Hera had truly harmed Lucius.
If so, they would be in deep trouble. Everyone knew that the two people Bernard cared about the most were Lucius and Giselle.
Instead, the guards saw Lucius personally leading Hera out.
