Bernard stared at the text message for a long while. Then, he finally moved his finger and typed a reply, "Tell them to send the test report to me first when the result is out."
Sable replied, "Got it."
…
In the evening, Isla and Sarah were cleaning and disinfecting Youngworth Miracle Clinic after Hera had seen the last patient of the day. When they were about to close the clinic, Vanta and Brenda arrived.
"The clinic isn't bad. I hope your business booms." Vanta was carrying a bouquet of white roses. Behind him was Brenda, who was carrying a fruit basket.
When Hera saw them, she knew what they were here for. She had Isla deal with the rest of the silver needles which she hadn't put away. Then, she instructed Tiffany to look after the kids. It was only then that she brought Vanta and Brenda to a café nearby.
"It's already time for dinner. Why don't we go to a restaurant and have dinner together? We can take the children with us as well," suggested Vanta.
"No need," Hera rejected the suggestion. Then, she asked, even though she already knew the answer, "What is it? Just get straight to the point."
"Mr. Whitlock, Esther isn't someone who an ordinary person can employ," said Brenda sarcastically.
She didn't like how Hera always acted arrogantly. Hera was just acting as a noble. If she really was a noble, why would she have two children and not know who the father was? She was just arrogant because Vanta liked her.
"If you want to have dinner, you can go ahead. I need to go back and accompany my kids." Hera got up and acted as if she wanted to leave.
"Esther, wait." Vanta quickly stopped her before saying to Brenda, "Be quiet."
Brenda was unhappy, but she stopped talking.
Vanta knew Hera's temperament very well. If she was upset, she would really leave. Thus, he kept it short.
