Johnson was against the idea of Bernard leaving because he had to get the dagger out first.
It came as a total surprise when Bernard grabbed the hilt of the dagger and pulled it out right away. The stubborn look on his face made Johnson give in.
After getting into the helicopter, the vehicle immediately took off. Bernard sat by the bed, his eyes glued to Hera, who lay unmoving like a broken porcelain doll. His heart broke seeing her in such a state, and he regretted confining her in the villa.
If he had known that something like this would happen, he wouldn't have locked her up.
The medical supplies on the helicopter were limited. While the nurses were doing check-ups on Hera, Johnson approached them with his medical kit to tend to Bernard's wound.
"Come here. I'll help you with your wound," he told Bernard.
But Bernard didn't want to leave Hera's side. He simply said, "Just make the bleeding stop, then take a look at her."
Seeing how stubborn and insistent Bernard was, Johnson wondered if Bernard had managed to recall something.
If he hadn't known that Bernard had undergone surgery before and lost his memories, Johnson would never have thought that Bernard had forgotten Hera.
"The check-up takes time," said Johnson, trying to persuade Bernard to get his stab wound bandaged. "I'll stop your bleeding first."
Only then did Bernard get up and move to Johnson's side. It wasn't that far from Hera, though.
After pulling his shirt off, Bernard let Johnson do his job. Despite that, Bernard kept his eyes locked on Hera all the while.
After having done a quick check-up, Johnson concluded that the stab didn't hurt any of Bernard's major internal organs, so he stopped the bleeding first. They'd have to wait until they reached the hospital for a thorough check-up to see if everything was truly fine with Bernard.
Half an hour later, the helicopter landed on the top floor of a hospital. Several medical staff were already awaiting their arrival.
The door of the helicopter slid open, and the medical staff in the helicopter moved Hera to an operating room to perform surgery on her.
Bernard himself was sent to another operating room. The head doctor brought a group of surgeons with him to help tend to Bernard's wound.
