Chapter 55 

Although Lorraine had left the architecture field, her passion for it remained strong after years of study. En her mentor had praised her talent. 

With a vacant piece of land at her echands, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to put her skills to use. 

“You studied architectural design? Have you heard of Wesley Woods?” Hestia asked. 

Lorraine kept her expression neutral “Twe heard of him. He’s highly regarded in that field‘ 

Hestia nodded. “I’ve heard he’s famous. With what you’ve designed here, your mentor must be really talented.” 

Lorraine smiled and refrained from mentioning that her mentor was, in fact, Wesley Woods 

The two older women exchanged glances and decided to move on from the topic. 

Logan noticed Lorraine had been gone for quite a while, so he stepped out to check on her. When he saw Hestia and Joslin, he was momentarily speechless. 

Hestia even brought Joslin along? They should’ve given him a heads–up so that they could coordinate their story. What if they let something slip? 

“Logan!” Hestiacalled out. 

Before he could respond, she continued, “You mentioned your relationship with Lorraine and said you’d bring her home to meet us. Since Joslin and had nothing to do today, we asked Markus to drive us here.” 

He quickly replied, “Grandes, you should’ve let me know you were coming We could have come to pick you up 

“Lorraine’s probably busy, so you don’t need to come get us. We’ve got the address and can find our way,” Hestia said with a wink 

“HI, Mom,” Logan greeted his mother. 

Joslin acknowledged with a nod 

“Let’s all go inside for a drink. It’s way too hot out here.” Lorraine led them inside before asking, “Mom, you came all this way. Have you eaten yet? 

Joslin replied, “Yes.” 

Lorraine thought if her in–laws hadn’t eaten, she would immediately start preparing some dishes. But after bearing that they had eaten, she gave up on that thought and suggested, “How about a meal at my home later? I’ll call my mom now.” 

She thought since they were here, it made sense for the in–laws to meet each other. 

Lorraine motioned Logan to lead them to her cottage at the orchards while duling Irene’s number. 

When her mother answered, Lorraine said, “Mom, my in–laws are at the orchards. Can you or Dad run to town and pick up some groceries?‘ll bring them home for a meal later ” Trene muttered, “Why did your in–laws head straight to the orchards? Logan did the same when he first came.“” 

“It’s because I gave then the address of the orchards ” 

“How many of them are there?” trene asked.
