Vanessa was duming. “That was my wedding gift from our parents. It’s a non–matrimonial property. Even Jaden has no claim to it, but his family acts like they’re entitled” 

Lorraine echoed her sister’s frustration. “They’re acting like weasels! Vanessa, you can’t agree to that. It’s yours, and you shouldn’t even add Jaden’s name to the deed just because he treats you will now and you’ve givm his family their only grandson doesn’t mean he’ll always be like this. Men can change 

“In any case, you should keep your property close at hand. Don’t let your feelings cloud your judgment 

and give it away. You’ll regret it later.” 

Vanessa wasn’t naive. Her parents were concerned about her marrying into a less wealthy family, so they gave her a nine–story apartment and a car worth over 500,000 dollars, all under her naNME.
