Chapter 76 Keep a Low Profile
Cordelia nodded towards Elissa with an indifferent and cold attitude. After saying hello, she was about to leave.
Behind her, Elissa whispered, “Elijah, I never expected that you would marry such a cold woman…”
As Cordelia walked further and further away, Elissa’s voice gradually disappeared.
Returning to her seal, Imogen saw that Cordelia was absent-minded. She asked, “Cordelia, what’s wrong with you?”
“I just ran into Elissa in the bathroom.” Cordelia rested her chin on one hand and looked out the window.
Imogen was stunned for a moment, then suddenly lowered her voice and moved forward, saying, “Cordelia, although Elissa looks flirty, she and Ben don’t seem to have sex before.”
“That’s why,” Cordelia said plainly, “That’s why she said that what Ben couldn’t give her, she would find another man. She also asked Elijah to help her book a deluxe suite.”
“Damn it. Cordelia, how can you bear this?” Imogen suddenly slapped the table.
“Don’t worry, it won’t be too late to battle with them when they really go on a date.” Cordelia lowered her eyes, filled with
indifference.
Imogen looked at her in disbelief and said in amazement,
“Cordelia, you have changed a lot. You used to have a longing for love.”
Love…
She asked Imogen, “Do you still have a longing for love now? Do you still love Ben?”
Imogen then laughed awkwardly. “That’s right. Love is too extravagant. It will hurt us.”
At this moment, a man walked in at the restaurant’s door. He was travel-stained and had a cold, handsome face.
Imogen shrank her neck involuntarily and blocked herself behind Cordelia as if she were afraid of being seen by that man.
Cordelia turned her head curiously and saw Ben walking in with a serious face. He walked straight to the corner where Elijah and Elissa were.
Then, Cordelia and Imogen both saw Elissa standing up and taking the initiative to pull Ben’s hands to coax him while Elijah continued to eat with his head bowed as if it had nothing to do with him.
“Let’s go.” Cordelia got up and led Imogen, who had a pale face, to leave.
When they came to the bar, Cordelia was about to pay the bill, only to be told that the bill had already been paid.
“Did Elijah pay it? It seems that he still likes you a lot!”
Imogen bumped into her with her shoulder but unconsciously glanced at Ben again, more or less unwilling.
At this time, Elijah came over, stepped forward without saying a word, and put his arms around Cordelia’s waist. “Let’s go, I’ll drive you two.”
“No need. Don’t you still have to go to the hotel?” Cordelia glanced at him, stubbornly standing where she was, refusing to leave.
Seeing this, Imogen took the lead to sneak away so as not to be embarrassed when seen by Ben and Elissa.
Elijah explained helplessly, “Who said that I’m going to a hotel? I just booked it for someone else.
“Oh… What a pity.” Cordelia deliberately sneered.
The man clasped her waist tightly, leaned close to her ear, and said in a low voice, “Do you want to play in the suite? Tell me earlier!”
“Who… who said it?” Cordelia’s eyes widened.
