The car started, and after about an hour’s drive, they arrived at Daltonia Villa. 

Nicholas stepped out of the car, and from a distance, he could see Cecilia lying on a lounge chair in the garden, basking in the sunlight. Her exposed hand gleamed white in the sun. 

“Mr. Rainsworth,” the security guard greeted him without hesitation and opened the gate.
