Chapter 15 Beatrice Gets Arrested 

Beatrice was forced to follow Caden to Madelynn’s apartment, 

Just as they stepped out of the elevator, they saw scattered bloodstains on the ground and red paint on the door. 

Everything was extremely shocking. 

‘Before Beatrice could say anything, Caden had already rushed into the apartment, accompanied by the screams of a man and the cries of Madelynn. 

“Mr. Caden! I’m so scared! I’m afraid…” 

The sobbing sound brought Beatrice back to reality, and she quickly entered the apartment. What came into her sight was a man sprawled on the ground. The man’s face was contorted with ferocious expression, blood gushing from his mouth in torrents, while his hand clutched a dagger. 

On the other side, Madelynn held her bleeding arm, weakly leaning against Caden’s chest, her pretty face filled with sadness. 

The man continued to insult Madelynn, “Bitch! What’s wrong with satisfying me since you’re so good at seducing men? You’ve always been a filthy bitch!” 

Madelynn choked with tears and said, “No, no, I’m not…” 

The man chuckled, “Stop it! Everyone says that online! Someone told me you often slept with different men! Besides, there are men coming in and out of your apartment every day, so why pretend to be so pure!” 

Madelynn grabbed Caden’s clothes at the chest in fear and said, “You, you…are monitoring me! Only Mr. Caden has access to my apartment. Why did you frame me? I have a surveillance. camera. We can check it if you don’t believe me!” 

The man was taken aback, and his gaze noticeably avoided for a moment After Caden noticed it, he shouted towards the door,“Keith.” 

Keith appeared in a flash and, without giving the man any time to react, completely subdued him and pinned him to the floor. 

“Who sent you here?” 

The man’s mouth was tough. He spat out a mouthful of blood but still remained silent. But whether it was Beatrice’s illusion or not, she felt as if the man had glanced at her. Perhaps she had suffered too much in her past life, so now she was very guarded. At a glance, she felt that something was wrong. 

She tightened her grip on the bag she instinctively glanced at Caden. Caden shielded Madelynn as if she were the most precious treasure in the world. His lithe hands encircled her, clasping her firmly. 

Just like in the past, when they met, his first reaction was to protect Madelynn and her child. All that was left for Beatrice was a cruel warning gaze.

deepest night, radiated an icy chill that could make anyone’s spine tingle. The man finally gave in, fear and trepidation evident in his eyes, as he struggled to escape. But he was held down by Caden on his back, and Caden increased the pressure without any expression on his face. 

The man screamed in agony, “Ah! Let go of me! I’ll confess, I’ll tell you everything…” Caden’s eyes turned cold.“Who’s it?” 

The man trembled as he raised his finger towards Beatrice. 

“It was her! She told me Madelynn’s address, and it was also her who told me that I could do anything to Madelynn.” 

Beatrice was dumbfounded. 

Madelynn trembled and accused, “Beatrice, how could you treat me like this? Just because I exposed you for taking fertility drugs in the Baldwin’s house? If this man succeeds, my whole life. will be ruined…” 

Upon hearing this, Beatrice opened her mouth but was overwhelmed by an invisible sense of oppression. 

She felt she was on the verge of being out of breath and unable to speak up in response. Suddenly, the man on the ground seized the dagger and leaped up while everyone ignored him. He pounced on Madelynn.“Bitch! I need to thank Beatrice for helping me find you. I have always hated women like you who are fickle in love the most in my life. Go to hell!” Ah! Mr. Caden!” Madelynn shouted. 

Caden directly kicked the man towards Beatrice. 

Beatrice couldn’t dodge in time and could only raise her hand to block the attack, but coincidentally made eye contact with the man. 

She saw the triumphant smile in the man’s eyes. 

“Ah!” 

Beatrice’s palm was cut open, and blood immediately gushed out. 

In an instant, blood flew all over. The cut was much deeper than Madelynn’s shallow Beatrice couldn’t feel any pain at that very moment. 

She watched helplessly as blood flowed from her hand, while Caden pulled Madelynn behind 

him. 

Madelynn laughed behind him.

The police officer was extremely concerned about her well–being. Swiftly, he retrieved the bandages they always carried and applied them to stanch the bleeding from her wound. With light pressure, beads of cold sweat erupted on Beatrice’s forehead due to the pain. When she was taken away, she paused for a moment and casually said, I didn’t do it.” 

When Caden raised his eyes and looked at her, Madelynn fainted. 

So he ignored her and carefully picked up Madelynn. 

Beatrice raised her eyes and looked around, only to find that Madelynn’s apartment was filled 

ith traces of Caden. 

When she withdrew her gaze, he happened to meet Caden’s cold and emotionless eyes. He seemed to be waiting for her to beg for mercy. 

He was always like this, aloof and toying with her life.

The woman who used to look at him and secretly chuckle seemed to have disappeared. 

He glanced at Keith, who was standing aside. 

Keith nodded and quietly left. 

Beatrice saw Gracie who had once comforted her again. 

Gracie sighed as she looked at Beatrice, “Here we meet again, Ms. Lindsey. I have a first aid kif in my car. Let me give you a simple treatment to prevent the wound from worsening. Feeling a hint of warmth, Beatrice had an extra glimmer in her eyes.
