Chapter 6 Not Over Yet
Beatrice tried to recall what she had said the night before.
A second later, Beatrice realized she had said a lot indeed.

for she could yielded,
In the heat of intense emotions, Beatrice endured Caden’s almost torturous teasing and earnestly confided her feelings.
Beatrice believed Caden would not remember anything the next day.
However, Beatrice would remember everything, including, at least, how close they were at that
moment.
“Mr. Caden, I have feelings for you.
“I have loved you for a long time. Since the day I came into the Baldwin family and you helped me out, I have been secretly paying attention to you.
“I know you don’t care about me, but I really…
“I really love you.”
Beatrice had come into the Baldwin family at the age of sixteen, and she had been dressed up by Monica to look like a doll about to be presented as a tribute.
Knowing nothing about the simplest mode of dress of a lady, Monica had only wanted her daughter Beatrice to come into the Baldwin family in all her beauty and grace. However, Beatrice had become a laughingstock for
for the entire Baldwin family.
Someone had viewed Beatrice as a maid trying to be a queen.
In her timidity and fear of trouble, Monica had not dared to defend Beatrice.
Luckily, Caden had appeared at that time.
With a tall figure, dressed in a long black coat, Caden had been standing on the porch, flicking the cigarette in his hand. White smoke had escaped from his mouth, enveloping his face, with snowflakes falling gently behind him.
With a dangerous and cold look, Caden still looked dashing.
Because of Caden’s glance, all the servants had got so frightened that they had not dared to speak any word.
Caden had graduated from university at the age of 23 that year, but he had made his name as the one and only Mr. Caden in Chicago.
At a glimpse at Beatrice, Caden had said heavily, “Not bad.”
However, those words had been so impressive to Beatrice.
$ In addition, Beatrice could even remember the scent that had lingered on Caden’s body that day
in the Baldwin’s place.
Later, Caden and Beatrice had encountered each other again.
Beatrice had been so depressed by the decline in her academic performance in class that she had been tempted to cry in the garden in the spring.

Ara glance at the test, Caden had been smoking a cigarette, leaning against the pavilion.“Not so hard. Pass me the pen.”
Beatrice had got a cramp in her leg when learning to swim in a swimming pool in the summer. Caden had jumped into the swimming pool and saved Beatrice, scolding her for being clumsy. Beatrice had been harassed by someone and couldn’t outrun them on the street in the autumn. Caden had got out of the car and put his arm around Beatrice’s shoulder, running away together. Throughout the year, Beatrice’s life had been delicately filled with the love of Caden.
However…
Beatrice had also expressed her love for Caden in her previous life.
Beatrice’s heart had been true and passionate, and it had bloomed in Caden’s desire. However, what Beatrice had received had turned out to be slander and contempt. In addition, Beatrice would never forget the tragic death of her daughter in the end.

The car was still within the Baldwin family’s area, so Caden could park it everywhere he wanted.
After the engine was turned off, Caden glanced at Keith. As a result, Keith got out of the car promptly without any hesitation.
Beatrice also wanted to get out of the car. However, Caden immediately reached his hands to grab Beatrice’s waist to stop her.
“Don’t play tricks on me. Beatrice, I was just drugged, not dead.”

As soon as Beatrice raised her hand, Caden grabbed it from behind and pressed Beatrice down
to the leather chair, sinking a little and clinging.
The posture of them made Beatrice feel a little embarrassed.
But as Beatrice moved, her body was tightened even more.
“Let go of me!”
Caden, however, was as passionate and enthusiastic as he had been the night before. Beatrice was pressed by Caden and forced to lie on the seat.
Beatrice was both embarrassed and annoyed, with both of her wrists held by Caden’s hand.
And Caden’s other hand brushed aside Beatrice’s hair to reveal the marks Beatrice had

Caden traced the marks with his fingers, his touch full of coldness.“Since you provoked me, it’s impossible to let it go.”
Caden’s fingertips, with a little more force, moved slowly down Beatrice’s neck.
And then Caden ran his fingers along Beatrice’s spine, inch by inch.
Beatrice bit her lip in humiliation, recalling the torment she had endured in bed from Caden during the past eight years of her previous life.
Caden had been a businessman, a perfect opportunist
in his previous life.
Caden hadn’t loved Beatrice, but he hadn’t given up the desire to control and possess Beatrice. Beatrice had been a personal possession of Caden.
There had been no love and freedom in Beatrice’s life.
With that thought, Beatrice shivered uncontrollably, as she had done in her former life. Caden stopped for a second and a surge of darkness welled up in his eyes. In an instant, he lost all interest and pushed Beatrice away directly.
Beatrice curled up into a ball, trying hard to restrain her fear.
Caden rolled down the car window, lit a cigarette, and leisurely took a drag. The blood–red ring on his finger also emitted a sanguine glow in the dark night.
Caden’s lips curled into a smile. Under the streetlight, he appeared particularly gloomy. His eyes were lazy, as if a blunt knife were cutting through Beatrice’s skin.
The smell of tobacco spread inside the car, and Beatrice gradually calmed down. The next second, she grabbed her clothes and sat up.
“How can you finally let me go?”
Caden tilted his head back, exhaling a faint gray mist, casting a sidelong glance, like a wild beast awakening in the dark night.
Caden touched Beatrice’s cheek with the hand holding the cigarette, and his fingertips slid from her temple to her eyes, caressing the teardrop mole beneath her eyes. The delicate and dry touch should be comfortable, but to Beatrice, it was like the tongue of a snake licking her skin and suffocating her.
Caden looked down at Beatrice from above.

The readers' comments on the novel: When Love Turns to Ashes (Beatrice and Caden)
I hope the admin team can look into this. It’s a long winded story with the same old plot on repeat. So now that Beatrice has found out she’s pregnant, no doubt she’ll once be at risk of people wanting to ensure she miscarriages since it’s Cadens. Doesn’t help shes also engaged to Odin....
The last 70 chapters are repeated. It goes back to the storyline of Madeline and Selina. Why’s is that?...
