Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 73

Claire found Vincent utterly ridiculous, and she couldn't help but burst into laughter.

He claimed to care for her, yet he sought her out to demand if she had pushed Vanessa down the stairs.

When he asked that question, he wasn’t looking for an explanation from her; he had already decided on the answer in his heart.

He spoke of letting go of the past and looking forward, yet it was he who had wronged her. Every accusation was a burden he unjustly placed on her shoulders.

He made the mistakes, refused to acknowledge them, and still expected her to be magnanimous.

On what grounds?

Who did he think he was?

As Claire's laughter echoed through the room, Vincent's face grew darker and darker. To him, her laughter was piercing, each note more painful than the last.

"Stop laughing," Vincent demanded in a low voice, his tone tinged with barely suppressed anger.

But Claire continued, her eyes reddening with tears, the hatred in her gaze almost tangible, as if she could rip apart Vincent's façade with her stare alone.

"I told you to stop laughing," Vincent snapped, his voice rising in anger. He reached out, clamping a hand over Claire's mouth, pinning her down onto the bed.

His eyes were bloodshot, "Why have you become like this? Why can't you just behave?"

Claire tried to struggle, but the disparity in strength between them left her powerless.

Vincent's hand not only covered her mouth but also pressed against her nose.

Unable to breathe, Claire's face quickly turned red.

Whether Vincent didn't notice her distress or simply didn't care, he continued to hold her down as if punishing her.

The lack of oxygen made Claire's head spin, and just as she was on the brink of passing out, May's voice rang out, "Stop it!"
