Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change? novel Chapter 1137

"Are you still half asleep?" Sherilyn chuckled, shaking her head at the phone.

"Hey there, Dr. Cooper," she greeted.

Recognizing Sherilyn's voice, Joyce snapped out of her daze. "Oh, Sherilyn! Sorry, occupational hazard."

"No worries," Sherilyn laughed. "Are you free today? I was thinking we could go shopping, grab a bite, and introduce you to Rebecca White."

Since Sherilyn had returned, both had been swamped with work, leaving little time for catching up.

"Sounds great," Joyce agreed. "Send me the address. You guys head over, I'll get ready and join you soon."

"Perfect," Sherilyn replied before hanging up.

A housekeeper approached Sherilyn, cradling a stack of brochures. "Ms. Gomez, should I take these to the sunroom?"

Sherilyn glanced at the brochures, frowning slightly. "Why are there so many? Didn't we just get a batch yesterday?"

"Yes," the housekeeper nodded with a smile. "Mr. Nine insisted on having plenty of choices so you can find the one that suits you best."

"Alright, just put them over there."

"Will do," the housekeeper said, heading off.

Rebecca White, munching on a bagel, looked up curiously. "What's with all the brochures?"

Sherilyn sighed, a bit exasperated. "They're all for wedding planning."

Rebecca immediately understood. Of course, she remembered when Gilbert proposed; she'd been there.

But Sherilyn didn't seem all that enthused.

"Marriage is a joyful thing," Rebecca offered gently. "Try to enjoy it."

Sherilyn's feelings were clear to her.

"Caroline's gone now. She won't be back for at least two years. And two years from now... who knows?" Rebecca continued. "The important thing is you and Mr. Harrison, right? Living your life well together?"
