Francis didn't let on, but he got up quietly to answer the call on the side.

"What's going on?"

Rebecca is blind and she managed to escape? What were the bodyguard and the maid even doing?

Sawyer explained, "Well, the bodyguard was in the restroom, and the grocery delivery guy came by, so the maid was checking the order. She slipped out through the back door of the kitchen."

Looks like she had it all planned out.

Of course, it was also a lapse on the bodyguard and maid's part because they thought, given Rebecca's blindness, she couldn't possibly escape.

Francis, holding his phone, said with a heavy tone, "I'm on my way over."

After hanging up, Francis prepared to leave.

"Where are you off to?" Sylvia spared him a glance, a rare diversion from her meal. "Aren't you eating?"

"Got a bit of a situation," Francis said with a smile. "Grandma, with James and Sherilyn here, you're in good company. Please, have a bit more."

Taking the chance, Sherilyn shot Gilbert a look.

Her plate was stacked high like a little mountain. How could she possibly eat all that?

Gilbert got the hint instantly. While Sylvia was busy talking to Francis, he transferred the heap from Sherilyn's plate to his own.

"That's it, just a couple of bites."

Sherilyn pursed her lips, barely lifting her fork.

"You little rascal!"

Sylvia turned around and smacked Gilbert on the back of his head. "How old are you again? Can't you serve yourself? Why are you stealing Sherilyn's food?"

"Grandma..." Gilbert, rubbing his head, looked as pitiful as could be. "Sherilyn's not been feeling well, her appetite's down. Lately, she's just been into soups."

"Is that so?"

Hearing this, Sylvia patted Sherilyn's head, "Why didn't you tell me?"

She then called out, "Quick! Get Sherilyn a bowl of soup! Make sure it's not too greasy!"

While she took Sherilyn's plate and dumped the leftovers into Gilbert's plate, "Here, it's all yours now."

Gilbert and Sherilyn were both speechless.
