"Now you're coming to me for help? It's too late!"
With those words, she turned and headed upstairs.
"Get out! Get out now!"
"Suzanne..."
Farley looked back and forth between his wife and his daughter, caught in a difficult position. He turned to Sherilyn, attempting to help her up. "Sherilyn, come on... stand up and we can talk..."
Sherilyn abruptly lifted her gaze to Farley, desperation in her eyes. Malvina wouldn't budge; Farley was her last hope!
With a fierce bite on her lip, drawing blood, she summoned all her strength to speak, "Dad!"
"What—Sherilyn, you... you called me what?"
Not since her mother had passed had his daughter called him 'dad' like that!
"Dad!"
Tears streamed down Sherilyn's face as she spoke again. In this moment, her resentments and pride were insignificant compared to Jenna's life.
She knelt, clutching Farley's arm tightly.
"Daddy..."
Sherilyn looked up at him with pleading eyes, her voice trembling, "Please, dad, help me! Jenna is your granddaughter! She's so young, not even four years old, her life is just beginning!"
"We've finally found a matching bone marrow donor, and Galen is willing to donate! Jenna can have the surgery this week! Afterward, she can be healthy again!"
"I'm begging you, dad, please help me! Where is Galen? Let me know where she is!"
Sherilyn was overwhelmed with sobs.
"When mom passed away, I begged you to take me in, but you didn't want me."
"When grandma died, you didn't want me either..."
"When it was time for me to go to Crestwood, I begged you to come for me, but you still didn't show up..."
