Chapter 168
“Sweetheart, you’re not old.” Dominic pinched Hannah’s delicate cheek. “You’re only 27 and in your primat
“Is this how you treat them as well?” Hannah countered, her tone devoid of emotion. Dominic paused. “Them‘?”

“Do you call the other women ‘sweetheart‘ if they please you too? Hannah didn’t ask this aloud, not that she planned to, lest she embarrass herself.
The flush across her cheeks gradually waned as she calmed down she shoved Dominic away and urged, “Why aren’t you leaving?”
However, Dominic’s lips curled as he pinned her down, sturdy as a mountain. He even pressed his lips close to her ear and murmured, “I’ll stay a little longer to boost our chances of getting pregnant.”
Hannah fell speechless. Dominic seemed intent on–if not borderline obsessed with–knocking her up.
In the past, he’d used protection all the time and even went the extra mile to clean up the trash. He was extremely cautious so as not to create trouble for himself.
But everything changed after Hannah had acceded to his terms that night. He stopped using protection. And every time they did it, he insisted on staying with her a little longer to “boost their chances of getting pregnant“, as he’d so nobly put it.
He even studied the different positions that would help with conception. He became extra attentive about certain things too, like tucking a pillow under her waist as he’d done earlier.
Did he want a child that badly?
Hannah stared at Dominic, her eyes full of indescribable emotions.
Unfortunately, conceiving a child was a challenge for her. It was why she’d agreed to his condition in the first place. She was happy to oblige if he wanted to make a child, but whether or not they’d succeed was none of her concern.
She figured it was fair game for her to trick him, considering how he’d played with her feelings.
But she was still worried about him backtracking, so she asked, “Has Gregory asked you about Thea’s whereabouts?”
Dominic’s expression shifted at this.
Gregory had asked him, of course, and not only once. Given Gregory’s power and status, it was impossible that he couldn’t have discovered Anathea had fled to Syntherra.
If Dominic hadn’t deliberately kept Anathea’s whereabouts a secret, Gregory might have already found the hospital where Fiona was receiving treatment. And as things were, Dominic had a feeling he couldn’t keep this a secret any longer.
Sure enough, Dominic was about to get into his car after dropping Hannah off at the address she’d given him when he noticed the silver–black Maybach parked across the street.
The license plate read, “GS 00001“.
Dominic knew who was in the Maybach just by looking at the license plate alone, and the person hadn’t come on friendly terms.
He heaved a sigh and crossed over to the idling Maybach.
The window of the driver’s seat rolled down halfway to reveal a handsome face, the chiseled features of whi by the streetlights overhead.
Gregory lifted his gaze to Dominic and drawled impassively, “Long time no see, Mr. Lancaster.”

“Mr. Sinclair, what are you doing here?” Dominic asked, chuckling and looking as he normally did. “You should have told me you were coming. I would have personally thrown you a welcome party.”
