Chapter 199
Dominic froze for a second, a flash of surprise crossing his eyes.
He was surprised that Hannah knew he was getting married.
But to Hannah, that look was all the proof she needed he wasn’t shocked she knew about the wedding. He was shocked she’d figured out his disgusting plan.
So, it was true. He really had planned to make her have his child, then take the kid back and raise them with his precious future
wife.
Pathetic.
She was just glad she’d happened to hear about it during an event with a brand the Lancaster family was working with.
If not for that, she would’ve been completely in the dark and gotten played like a fool.
Good thing she was never one of those naive women who would fall for it. She hadn’t thought that maybe he still cared about her or that he wanted her to have his child out of love.
Hannah laughed coldly to herself.
But she still couldn’t understand why he was going through so much trouble.
“Don’t you want your wife to have your child?” Hannah’s red lips curled into a mocking smile. “What’s wrong? Are you afraid you’ll disappoint her in bed?”
“Hannah!” Dominic shouted, grabbing her chin and forcing her to look at him. His breath was hot against her skin. “You know
damn well how good I am.”
How dare she provoke him?
“Well then, go prove it to your woman,” Hannah stated calmly, as if she’d been waiting for this moment.
No matter how furious she was inside, her tone stayed cool and steady.
She knew exactly how far Dominic’s patience with her could stretch. Now that she’d exposed him and made it clear that she was done, she meant nothing to him anymore.
Hence, she looked at him and spoke almost formally. “I apologize for my previous outrageous demands, Mr. Lancaster. I’ve come to my senses now. I don’t want that apartment anymore. Let’s just end this nicely.”
It was ruthless. It was as though she was throwing him away the second she got what she needed.
Dominic didn’t say a word. But the way he stared at her made it seem as if he could strangle her on the spot.
And he pretty much tried to.
His hand slid from her chin down to her neck, squeezing tight.
The pressure hit her instantly. Hannah struggled, but Dominic didn’t give her the chance. He lowered his head and crushed his mouth against hers.
Pain shot through her. He bit her lip hard enough to break skin, deepening the kiss without an ounce of mercy.
She fought back, pounding against his chest, but Dominic didn’t budge. He kept his hand locked around her neck, forcing her head back.
Hannah could barely breathe. Her body started to slide down helplessly. Only then did Dominic finally let go.
Before she could even catch her breath, he threw her over his shoulder and tossed her onto the big bed. She hit the ma. enough force that it made her back arch in pain.
