Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isn’t Easy chapter 1048
The guard at the entrance never expected that the few temporary workers recruited from the recruitment agency would kidnap one of the patients, so he just registered their names in the visitor’s log and allowed them to leave.
The minivan flew across the expressway in the wee hours of the morning. When the effects of the painkillers faded gradually, Luna was in so much that she curled up in Gwen’s arms, trembling in pain.
“Hold on, Luna. Hold on.“ Gwen hugged her friend tightly, tears streaming down her face, the van flying toward Sea City. “We’ll be there soon! “
They did not dare to stay in Banyan City for too long, what more looking for a doctor to treat Luna. In the past, both Luke and Gwen did not believe that Joshua would be so cruel and ruthless to Luna. Until today… only now did they realize how cold-blooded he could be!
The minivan drove on for a few hours and finally when the sun peeked on the horizon, they arrived at a private hospital owned by Luke in Sea City.
An X-ray was finally taken of Luna’s smashed finger. When the film was finally developed, Luna had already fainted from the pain.
“The bones have been completely smashed.“ The old doctor looked at the X-ray film and sighed continuously, “It looks like it was smashed with a heavy object, but judging from the girl’s appearance, she doesn’t look like a laborer…“
Gwen covered her mouth in shock and despair. “So her finger…can it recover to its original state?“
“I’m afraid not.“ The old doctor shook his head. “At the moment the best option is to amputate the finger. Otherwise, when it gets infected, her entire hand will be affected. Signs of infection can already be seen, I would suggest amputating it immediately. Please make a decision as soon as possible, but the surgery would require the patient or her family member’s approval.“ With that, the old doctor turned and left.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
