Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isn’t Easy chapter 1249
Luna paused, then realized the reason she kept feeling hot although she turned on the air- conditioning and drank cold water was because of the drug.
At that thought, she felt even hotter, the blush on her cheeks deepening. She reached out a hand and patted her flaming cheeks. From the dim lighting in the car, she saw a similar sheen of sweat on his forehead.
He seemed to be in more pain than her. At least she had a cup of iced tea, while he drank nothing.
She bit her lip. “What should we do?“
Joshua narrowed his eyes, forcefully controlling the broiling hormones in his body. “I’ll give you two choices. Either we go to the hospital, or a hotel.“
He turned around, her blushing face reflecting in his deep, bottomless eyes. “Which one do you choose?“
Luna stiffened. Hospital, or hotel. She was an adult, she knew what he meant by giving her those two choices. Somehow, she frowned and said, “Isn’t the hospital quite far away?“
There was a hint of a laugh in his low voice. “It is far. Then, a hotel it is.“ With that, he started the engine and headed for the nearest hotel.
On the journey, Luna’s entire face was flushed red. She wondered whether it was the effect of the drug, or because…she felt shy.
After the car slid to a stop in front of the hotel, he did not even let her feet touch the ground. He heaved her up into his hands and strode into the hotel. They did not register themselves at the reception and no one interrupted them. He held her in his arms and strode into the elevators.
The moment the elevator doors slid shut, Luna frowned in surprise. “You…booked a room in advance?“
He smiled slightly. “I was asking for your choice when I asked whether you wanted to go to the hospital or a hotel. I chose a hotel, so I asked Lucas to book a room in advance.“
At that moment, the elevator arrived on the floor their room was on. Joshua opened the door smoothly with the keycard.
The moment she walked into the room, she was pushed into the door. Joshua smothered her under his body, kissing her like a crazed man.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
