Chapter 1738
Jim closed his eyes and laughed at himself for being too paranoid.
He was even having hallucinations already.
When Joshua and Theo arrived at Dr. Rachel’s research facility in Lincoln City with Luna, it was already 5 a.m.
The song that Charles had sung for her was played on repeat in Rosalyn’s room.
As soon as the car arrived at the entrance of the research facility, Luna’s eyes fluttered open even before the car had stopped, as though she had a premonition.
She glanced at her surroundings, frowning, then immediately jerked awake when she laid eyes on Joshua.
Memories of everything that happened the night before surged into her mind…
Luna paused, then shifted her body toward the door, keeping a safe distance between her and Joshua. “Where are we? Where are we going?”
It was already bright out, so where was Joshua bringing her so early in the morning?
“We’re in Lincoln City,” Theo, who was sitting in the passenger seat, answered with an exhale. “Last night, something happened to your mother, and both your brother and father have already arrived here from the hospital.
“Dr. Rachel said this incident happened quite suddenly, so she wanted you to come as well, but you were unconscious after being drugged, and we couldn’t wake you up no matter how hard w e tried, so we had no choice but to hoist you into the car and bring you here.”
He did not forget to give Joshua some credit. “If it weren’t for Joshua, you wouldn’t have been able to arrive here so quickly.”
Theo’s words made Luna’s mind falter for a few seconds.
Finally, after coming to, she bit her lip nervously and asked, “So is my mother…”
“Just now, Dr. Rachel called to tell us both your brother and father have already arrived, and as soon as your father showed up, your mother’s condition is now stable.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
