Chapter 1740
“Mother will wake up soon.”
Even though Rosalyn was not his birth mother, the amount of love and affection she had shown toward him was not less than that of a birth mother.
Not only that, but she had treated him even better than how she treated Heather, whom she had always thought was her biological daughter until they finally found Luna.
When he saw Charles finally admitting his love toward Rosalyn, Jim felt a weight lift off his shoulders.
He guessed that if Lucy, his birth mother and Charles’ first love in his lifetime, were to see this, she would probably be happy too.
Luna and Jim remained in the room as they watched their parents for more than half an hour.
They finally left when Theo knocked on the door, telling them that Dr. Rachel wanted to speak to them.
“Your mother’s condition is a little more complex than before.” As soon as Jim and Luna entered the room, Dr. Rachel exhaled and started explaining the situation to them.” Previously, her will to survive has been extremely strong, and according to my estimation, she would’ve been able to wake up within a week.
“However, what happened last night damaged her will to survive so much that she almost lost her life.
“Thankfully, your father’s appearance finally stabilized her condition, but that’s only that. As for when she will wake up…”
Dr. Rachel let out an exhale and stared at the two of them. “It’ll take a little while longer.
“On top of that, I suggest you let your father stay here to receive treatment for his illness.
“On one hand, I have some friends who specialize in psychiatry, and they can help look after him, but on the other hand…”
Dr. Rachel let out a deep sigh. “I’m worried that if something like this were to happen again, your father won’t be able to make it here in time all the way from Merchant City.”
Luna and Jim exchanged glances when they heard this. A split second later, they both nodded unanimously.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
