Chapter 2012
Bonnie’s appearance in the dining room surprised the two of them.
Jim glanced at her, frowning, and said with disapproval, “Since when did you arrive?”
Who gave her the right to eavesdrop on the conversation between him and Roanne?
Bonnie’s lips were pressed together in a thin line, and her gaze was on Roanne, who was still kneeling on the ground. “Roanne, repeat what you just said,” she repeated, albeit with an unsteady voice. “Who… Whose identity did Charlotte take?”
Roanne, too, was shocked that Bonnie would appear at this moment.
She had seized the opportunity of Charlotte not being around to tell Jim the truth and plant the seed of doubt within his mind.
However, Bonnie’s sudden appearance threw her off a little. She did not know whether she should get up from her position or if she should remain on her knees before Jim.’
Therefore, she had no choice but to glance rather sheepishly at Bonnie and repeat in a low voice, “Charlotte…took the place of another girl named Number-9 at the orphanage. At that time…”
She let out an exhale and tried to explain everything very briefly to Bonnie, “At that time, Master Landry had made a promise to a girl called Number-9 that he’d return after he grew up and find her so that they could reunite.
“However, Number-9 was adopted just a year after Master Landry left, so Charlotte put on her old clothes and jewelry and took her place as the new Number-9…
“After that, Master Landry returned to the orphanage as promised and took Charlotte away by mistake.”
With that, Roanne sighed and glanced at Bonnie. “Do you understand what I’m saying?”
Even though she was a little displeased by Bonnie’s sudden barging into their meeting, she still maintained a liking toward Bonnie because of her connection with Theo.
It would be great if Bonnie were willing to help her distract Jim and bring down Charlotte.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
