Chapter 2090
Rachel knew that it was petty of her to get jealous over a dead woman, but she could not find a way to get past it. She could not accept the fact that Theo had confessed his love toward her while being involved with another woman all this while.
Not only that, but she had never even known about this woman’s existence until this day.
If she had not followed Caleb to escort Rosalyn and Charles back to Merchant City, she probably would have never found out the truth; that the man who claimed to love her had held another woman on her deathbed and even kissed her just seconds before her death.
“Rachel.” Theo’s brows were furrowed as he held a limp, no-longer-breathing Roanne. “She’s had a hard life. Are you really going to argue with me about this over her dead body?”
His pity and guilt toward Roanne had surpassed all of his other emotions, and as he held Roanne’s body close to him, he could not understand why Rachel was behaving so petty and holding this against him. Could she not wait until the body was at least taken care of? According to what he had read, hearing was the last of the five senses to leave one’s body. Roanne had just died seconds ago, and if what he read was true, then she must have overheard the conversation he had with Rachel!

He did not want this to be the last thing Roanne heard before her soul left her body.
As soon as he thought of this, Theo let out an exhale and gently whispered next to Roanne’s ear, “Rest in peace. You and I were never meant to be in this lifetime…and I hope you won’t meet someone like me again in your next life.” With that, he gently placed the body back on the bed. Rachel watched quietly as he did this and could not help feeling as though there was a knot in her chest.
O
Perhaps it was because of her familiarity with dead bodies, or maybe it was due to her blunt personality, but for some reason, she did not find it inappropriate to argue with Theo in front of Roanne’s body.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
