Chapter 2143
A young girl about five or six years old with big, beautiful eyes, rosy skin, and who loved wearing traditional dresses… This was June, no doubt.
As soon as he thought of this, Christopher’s gaze on Laura softened as he asked, “You say you came across her recently as a patient? What’s wrong with her? Where did you see her?” Laura sighed.
“I saw her at Mr. Joshua Lynch’s house.
“That poor child.
She doesn’t have a mother, and her father recently left her too.
She had no choice but to be put under the care of her father’s friend, where she had to beg for her meals… “If this friend of her father’s hadn’t treated her so terribly, she wouldn’t have fallen ill so easily.
“I hear that she came all the way from Banyan City.
That poor child…” Then, she glanced tentatively at Christopher, trying to observe his expression.
“Don’t you agree, Dr.
Roberts?” Christopher narrowed his eyes and replied impassively, “Yes, indeed.
What a poor child; I especially pity her for having such a bad doctor who shares her personal information so publicly even though she’s sick.” Then, he lifted his head to shoot Laura a cold look.
“Don’t you agree, Dr.
Suess?” Laura’s expression darkened upon hearing this.
She bit her lip and was about to say something in reply when Christopher’s phone rang.
“I’m sorry,” he said before picking up the phone.
Suess?”
Sensing his irritation, Laura bit her lip and stood up.
Goodbye.”
Then, she turned and left.
She had just taken a few steps when Jim, who was walking in the opposite direction, bumped into her harshly.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
